now that these are the last rosters, i can actually get things going. Too many options. And the way I decide is annoying and never ending.

First thing I did:

Changed Anderson of Detroit to No. 13 (his number is wrong, which I mentioned a week or so ago on the roster thread at OS, but I apparently didn't go through proper protocol - anal bastards).

Put Ichiro and A-Rod in the majors, which then took a lot of work to get them in the lineup and get players in the right position. For instance, Griffey has been DHing but he was in right field. A-Rod wasn't as difficult. I sent the Yanks' other 3B (forget the name) to the minors. Sent Tuiasosopo to the minors.

I like realism in rosters, but I can't start a season without two of the best players in the game in there when there's no way to have them return to their teams at the right time.

I'd prefer to have rosters that don't have the historical stat glitch but oh well...I guess? Also, is the lineup glitch problem fixed in this version?

Also, could anyone give me a rundown or synopsis of what is included in this roster set?

-Nearly 1200 players created....
-All created players rated and leveled for their position in the depth chart and proximity to the MLB in some cases
-All pitchers with correct pitches
-Faces for all players done(some will be reworked...I've explained that before)
-The MLB lineups are set as well as the pitching staffs....I did not alter the pitchers to try and line up the 1-5 though as the CPU would need that to allow for real life mirroring of this.

If you want the next version with the lineups for AAA and AA done...it'll be 4/20/09.

Two things...there is one dev(forgot where I put him...but you will recognize him)...and I had no room to move Eric Gagne(Brewers) and Chris Gomez(Orioles)...so if you want to do that on your own....just sign a player...and trade them then release those guys(zero them out for an easy trade)

the historical stat glitch is a bummer. No word on the patch so nobody knows if the patch will fix this issue or not.

The line up glitch is fixed. I been using the first pre release version and while i only played 15 games in the franchise thus far, the lineups for the cpu are holding. Although there shouldnt be any concern with this as it was the first thing he fixed when he started the roster a month ago

So pumped for this roster that it's finally out and I can start my Yanks Franchise. Come to find out that the stats glitch is in (which is a pretty big deal to me just because I'm anal like that..lol...anal...) and A-Rod only has 221 homers, woulda been nice trying to chase the record in my Chise, but ah well, I can't wait any longer so I'm just gonna run with this one. Still a great file aside from the stat glitch (I pray SCEA fixes it with the patch...but I just highly doubt that happens).

the biggest irritation to this roster is that injured players are simply on the AAA teams.

is there any way that could be changed?

it's kinda weird seeing McGowan and Marcum lighting it up in AAA in my chise.

sure...just load up the roster from the main menu.....go into roster control and change anything you want for any team.....change the 40 mans, call ups and downs....ratings, add music, whatever
i always do that before i start the franchise myself.....

one thing i dont like that knight does is he changes the pitchers pitch type.....that is fine but i notice he will remove the 4 seam FB and replace it with a 2 seamer or whatever, imo, just about every pitcher throws a 4 seamer, so i dont understand why he removes it when a guy still only has 4 total pitches

Overall, how would you rate the rosters Maynard?

I know Knight is held in high regard over at OS, and rightly so because no way in hell would I ever take the time to do all of that editing lol...but I want to hear an unbiased opinion

I hate that they put injuries into the rosters as well. They would only work if you could put the injury time as well. It's retarded to start up a chise and have to wait for Cody Ransom to get injured before A-Rod comes back to the big leagues.
