Madden NFL 10 Adaptive AI

Ummmm Am I the only one not falling for this?

It says it on Madden 09's box, it was on the commercials, websites, etc.

I smell some b.s. going flying around here. I'll believe it when I can play it and find out for myself.

Now I'm not down on this game but there are some small things I have been catching in the blogs that just scare me a little but this one right here was the biggest concern I have had. Although I do think Madden 10 should be a great football game.

I think that had to do with that IQ thing where it said the game adapts to you in 09. I don think it had anything to do with adaptive AI.

Oh yeah I realize that they are not the same exact things. But EA played this off huge last year with the commericials and everything and at least in my opinon it really wasn't even that big/great a feature that they had to go and blow it up like that. I mean just pick up the box of your Madden 09, I think that is the biggest text on there besides the title itself. So when they just talked about the game adapting to you last year and then going back to it this year I am just a little hesitant about being as excited as most of the guys seem to be in this thread.

Theyve claimed the AI is smarter on every madden and i swear its got dumber every single year.

When i see it il beleive it , until then im not buying it (the AI bit not the game.)

Well of course a couple months into the game you won't be thinking its an incredible feature. It's a feature that you'll most likely forget about a couple months into the game because you'll forget the difference between the gameplay feel in 09 and 10. Doesn't mean you shouldn't be syked about it. Would you rather they not include it? It's of course not gonna be the main selling point of 10 but it will no doubt be a very big addition. To compare Ian said it was put into NHL 08 and was kept in.

Still don't understand what your getting at. The adaptive AI will be bad because the adaptive difficulty was bad? Is that it? Also please share some of the concerns you have. Those things you said you've been catching in the blogs that scare you. I wanna know.
