yea its very possible to get get them for under 300 off ebay... I have bought four
'broken" ones off ebay for less than 100 a piece. Sony charges you 150 bucks to fix them but most of the time it is something simple. Like the one in my living room was overheating when I ordered it, when it arrives at my house its got a sticker over the vents in the back. I used a little rubbing alchohol to pull the sticker off and it hasnt had any problems since.

But ive NEVER had a problem meeting people from craiglist to sell/trade video games, its usually people like me who are tired of gamestop and their crappy trade in values.

I'm always strapped...unfortunately...seeing im on probation and if i get caught its 5 years federal, but better safe then sorry i met some shady people on craigslist round here
