I'm not going to defend EA for the past 4-5 years. I'm defending myself and the other 7 guys who were there that you insulted, each one of which went with the intent of ensuring the best damn football game possible, and each one of them represented as well as you could ever ask them too.

Go to OS, look up LBzrule, go through his 2 page posts with direct 2k5 comparisons telling Ian what he needs to do to make Madden just passable again. Find The Watcher, and just look at his sig. That'll tell you what you need to know about him. Take some time to find out who these people are before you start insulting them, eh?

Ok so two of them are against EA, thats great. I just highly doubt that these guys would actually say something right to EA about how the game has been a joke for a long time. Maybe they did something and if they did thats great.

I just find it funny EA only asked members of OS to come and not members from other Madden sites.

Really? I actually though you liked Madden. Then again I did only visit the Madden section of MM a grand total of 12 times.

My bad adembroski, to me it justs seems like an EA move to only invite people who enjoy the game to get better publicity.

mgoblue has a point. since EA has done these community events all we ever here from our fellow community members is the upcoming game is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

then, we receive the game and it becomes a coaster within a month and the game is utter garbage to some and most would agree isn't up to snuff.

i've developed the i'll believe it when i see it myself approach with anything from ea. i read the info from ea, i read the impressions from our community "leaders", i rent the game and decide for myself whether to keep/purchase or to return it in the mail.

You've already said this about 10 times now. We get it, you aren't believing anything until you play the game.

But I'm willing to bet you'll just keep on repeating yourself over and over again because you want to make sure everyone knows how you feel (even though everyone already does).

Okay, I'm going to apologize for snapping on you because I should have considered that, based on EAs history, your assumption was a safe one. You don't have to believe me, but I cannot emphasize enough how much different this team of developers is.

I am the only person that was there that could have been said to be pro-EA, and even that's a bit of a misinterpretation. I'm pro-Phil Frazier/Ian Cummings design team.

Each of the others were brought in specifically because of well thought out criticism of the game. The first thing Ian did when we got there was a power point presentation featuring specific posts that were critical of Madden that we'd made. Yes, even me (admittedly, he had to dig farther for mine... but then, Madden 09 wasn't good enough to spend any time posting about it).

PS: The reason they invited people from OS is because that's where they post. They post there because that's where the traffic is highest.

I defy anyone to find any post I've ever written that kissed anyone at EA's ass.

Hell, one of the guys at the event pulled out a copy of NFL2k5 and said "If your game doesn't measure up, I'm putting this in the 360."

I'm so sick of this crap about how all eight guys there were a collection of EA Sports shills.
