Just curious, what weapon set are you guys using? I just hit 28 and I have:

DL220 Static Revolver (124 damage, 89.3 accuracy, 1.0 fire rate, chance to electrocute enemies. Green item)

KKA500-A Malevolent Thumper (86 damage, 74.5 acc, 3.8 fr, +89% damage, 4.3x zoom, +62% reload speed. Purple item)

SG.G Crimson Death (33X7 damage, 70.8 acc, 1.3 fr, 4x zoom, +23% reload speed, +44% recoil reduction, +5-% accuracy. Blue item)

The Blister (35x9 damage, 56.7 acc, 1 fr, chance to corrode enemies, 3.6x zoom, +17% recoil reduction. Blue item)

TOR-OBS Standard Healing Shield (271 capacity, 41 recharge rate, very slow health regen)

Then I have 1 blue class mod and 2 purple ones, using a Soldier

Can someone explain to me what the flashing X7 (or whatever other number) is in the damage section of a weapon description? If the damage is 35 with a x7 does that just mean 245? I doubt it because why wouldn't it just say 245?

I've only seen it on shotguns so I guess it has something to do with range? Maybe if you're closer in it does that much more damage? If so I just got a shotgun that does 110x12 damage for completing a quest

EDIT: Made it to 30 but I'm getting my ass handed to me in Old Haven...anyone care to help?

I'd be glad to help. I love playing this game and trying to hook up with my cousin has been a bitch lately.

Sounds good when are you available? I'll probably be on about 10 PM EST tonight after the Flyers game and some of the BCS game

Beat the main story last night at level 36ish, gonna finish doing all the side missions then either hit up Zombie Island or start a 2nd playthrough

I thought you had all the side missions finished already? Why didn't we do that shit last night?

Dunno, Claptrap keeps popping up saying there's new missions available somewhere but I can never hear where haha. I did a few others ones and they were ridiculously easy since I was 10+ levels above everyone, but it's easy XP and I'd like to get the achievements for completing all the missions

You need to check the bounty boards son. And speaking of clap traps, did you find all of them?

I know, I just got done all the New Haven missions so I'll just teleport around and check all the boards. I have not, I think I only got like 4 or so of them, I know I'm missing a bunch

They are very important. You open up a ton of extra inventory slots.

I can join you after the game, which should be in a few seconds.

You need to check your mission list to see which ones you actually found.

I'm taking a break from playing Online for a while.

I hit level 20 last night and I realized the following:

-I didn't know where to get a car from
-I didn't know how to get to Fyrestone
-I didn't know I could fast travel in SP
-I didn't know there was sales in the stores
-I don't have a clue as to the story so far

Probably more. But after 6-7 hours of online, just following people around and tearing up missions, I had enough of not knowing what the fuck I was doing.

EVeryone online just wants to race through everything as fast as possible and, despite having fun, I'm tired of being lost to what's going on.

We'll be beating a mission, someone will die and then we finish the mission. The dead guy turns in the quest, grabs 3 more and we're already halfway towards something else. Say it's a fetch X of this item quest, someone will grab them all before I even get to the area....

I don't even feel like I'm playing half the time.

So for now, I'm breaking from online. I played 3 hours offline last night and loved it. Went back and did some quests that I missed, actually got to work my way through and see just what the fuck was going on and it was much more enjoyable.

The co-op aspect is great, but if there's no mics and no concern for the actual game then it's defeating the fun of the game.

I agree with you on all accounts. I had to progress with my buddies or by myself after initially jumping in the multiplayer. I remember the 2nd time I played it I was at like level 8 and some dude at level 49 popped in and just started plowing through things. By the end of a 2 hour playing session I was up to level 19.

One small way of rectifying that but still playing online is hosting. The game will go based on where you are in the story.

Oh yeah, and regarding your point about the story: don't get too worried about that. What little story there is (I'd argue it's practically nonexistent) really makes very little sense and the ending is almost as bad as the old "Congratulations! A Winner is you!" screens.
