Would you guys recommend getting this game RIGHT NOW? My concern is the issues with bugs and Obsidian now seems to have a bad track record with pre-launch QA (Alpha Protocol was really buggy).
Basically, should I get it now or just wait? I'm itching to get back into the Fallout universe, but I'm not sure.Comment

What my Level 8 character is doing:
After helping the NCR gain a foothold at the NCRCF Prison, I set off for Nipton hoping to get access to Novac afterward.
HOLY SHIT.
I learned of "The Lottery," and why the Legion is a bigger problem than I thought...
To paint a picture, if the area of New Vegas was GTAIII-size, The Legion owns the Area comparable to San Andreas.
Also of note, I learned that Rad-Away and Rad-X is worth all the game's caps in the area of Camp Flashlight.
Also I've seen a Radscorpion Queen... ED-E "died" unimpressed.
I died screamingComment

Heard this song in the Saloon at the very beginning of the game, and just stood there listening to it.Comment

Let's not forget the whole exclusive DLC thing either :smug2:.Comment

It works fine for me... that's all I care about.
The patch will come soon and the DLC will be on the GOTY Edition/in future DLC later on.
Bethseda will catch money on the rebound through PS3 land.Comment

Don't know how GOTY helps you, since you already bought the damn game. Just about the worst argument ever presented.Comment

so then why would u make the comment that its better on the ps3 then it is on the 360? thats very fanboy of youComment

Maynard...as for storing crap, you have pretty much 4 options:
1) Companions. Let them lug your heavy shit around, and then grab it back before selling it.
2) The Mojave Courier boxes. There are about 15 of these in different locations. If you put your stuff in one, you go to another one and the stuff will be there. Pretty handy for early game stuff.
3) Your house(s). So far I have a room in Novac and a suite in the Lucky 38. You can upgrade your suite to put crap in it, like FO3.
4) Find a spot you're comfortable you remember, and put stuff in a locker, dumpster or whatever. This option is a little more sketchy, but if you can remember where you put stuff, it works.
There is so much stuff to do in this game, it's daunting. I'm 22 hours in now and level 14 and barely scratched the surface of questing. I've finally gotten to the point where I'm picking up good weapons, but it seems like weapons are way harder to find than in FO3.Comment

I'm already struggling with the Hardcore mode maintenance. I drank 4 beers and became addicted to it trying to fight off dehydration in a gun fight. Could really use a canteen.
I think I might main quest straight through this first playthrough. Just to get the Hardcore achievement out of the way.Comment

So here's how my first playthrough wound up.
Wound up siding with the NCR in the final battle. Killed House.
Allied with the Boomers.
Destroyed the Brotherhood of Steel.
Destroyed the leaders of the Fiends.
Followers of the Apocalypse were forced out by NCR.
Goodspringers suffered from taxes and shit.
I destroyed the Great Khans myself.
Got a cure for the nightkins, and Jacobstown became a mutant haven.
Freeside was assisted by relief efforts from the NCR after signing a treaty with the Kings.
Not really a big fan of the ending to be honest. I mean, I knew from previews and stuff that you weren't going to be able to explore the wastes after, but I would have preferred to be able to, to see the effects and stuff. I'm sure they'll wind up charging us for some kind of DLC that enables that at some point down the road.
I was a good guy this time through, and I did kind of rush through after I figured out what was going down, so when I go through again I'm planning on exploring more, and probably just being an evil fuck.Comment
