I finally decided to visit the Madden section 2 days ago. I read through the community day thread and now this, and yet I am still not excited about this game.

Is it crazy, but I am actually thinkin of renting this game for the second straight year instead of buyin the game?

until the GAME is proven worthy, it's no different than any other year. Plain and simple.

I am excited because the community day was a lot earlier than last year which should definitely help. Also to hear how good the game looks right now from what we've heard from adem. I am also excited because there is at least twice as much new features this year than there was last year and the features look real nice. Also the dev team is a lot different than it was for the previous NG madden games. This is why i am so excited.

There effort levels are increased....yes. So good for that.

But until the game is proven, it's nothing. Features like hand towels, depth of vision, jersey nameplates being properly done and alt color gloves do not fix the issues with 09.

Via their blogs and Adem, EA is going to beat down the online communities throats that Madden '10 is the next coming of sliced bread or color TV. Lets wait until January to see if they are singing the same tune, because last January they weren't singing the same praises for Madden 09, that they were before release.

I'm not saying '10 can't be a great video game.....but "fool me once, shame on — [pauses] - shame on you. Fool me — I can't get fooled again."

I think you mean June not January but they said they have a big announcement for online play in June which i am REALLY excited because i believe it'll most likely be online franchise.
