Is there a way to clear your hard drive

Is there a way to clear your hard drive of everything? I am gonna sell my hard drive to get a new one but I want to clear my account off of it and everything but cant seem to find the way to do it.

Would that also delete my xbl account off of it because I have credit cards linked to my account.

Are you going to continue to use Xbox Live on a different system?

Yeah I am probably gonna get a bigger hard drive but I m gonna sell the one I have. It will be the same Xbox.
