Also not seeing Tom Brady in free agency at the beginning of the pre-season would be nice.
This will never be fixed, in my opinion.. At least not completely.

I don't really care, because I control every team in franchise mode, which is the way I prefer it. Which brings me to my next queston, Adem - The option to control EVERY team in franchise mode, is still there, right?

Why would they get rid of CPU sliders?

Would you really be surprised? I mean, NBA 2k9, NCAA both have limits on how many teams you can control, as does Head Coach, and the guy who helped make that, is now doing Madden's franchise, right? I need to make damn sure I cover everything, before I buy another Madden game.

Until the question gets answered, I think the worst.

It has to be a simple formula. Just have them draft the best player available for the position that has the lowest overall player starting.

This article is not what I was looking for.

So I can button mash, I can avoid sacks, and I can avoid hit sticking the ref; great.

Now tell me about the important stuff, like if franchise mode works as well as it used to.

"And the game-play impact is absolutely huge. Now the teams actually feel like they have a personality. When you're playing as a team like the 49ers who don't have that elite quarterback, you're going to have a hard time throwing the ball. It's going to feel like you have a problem at that position, and that's a great change.
oh great. as if i didn't already have enough problems playing with the 49ers....:kickballs::club:

The "Charge up" feature was more so to emulate a person building up a head of steam.

so when your running in the open field, and a player knows what he's going to do, whether he's going to lower his shoulder, or put out a stiff arm, or try to shake him, he could build up that head of steam and then go into the move and do it a little better.

if you think about it it emulates real life... maybe not in an effective way, but the feature wasn't meant to be arcade like, and debates can be made to say that it isn't arcade like. I personally didn't like the "tap A as fast as you can to sprint" feature, but it was also meant along the same lines...

anyway, the feature EA is putting in is arcade because it's more about who can press the A button the fastest... rather then who was in better position to get the ball... I would rather see a pile up, see all of the animations, and know that its a random dice roll, and that we both have an equal chance, rather then having to worry about some queer holding his controller a certain way and being able to press the A button faster then humanly possible to always get the fumble in those types of situations.

let the CPU figure it out, don't put it into the players hands.

                        Yes.

And the drafts I went through looked okay. I only did about 3, but it didn't take that many to notice the problems the last few years. The guy doing the logic this year is the same guy who made the NFL Head Coach 09 draft. It's not going to be that good because some very key aspects of NFL Head Coach 09 are missing, but many of the issues that caused that horrible draft logic are gone.

The main problems with the draft weren't the draft logic itself, but the things that lead into the draft. Teams letting go of pro-bowlers to make room for backup punters. Also, their reactionary position in free agency. I'm finishing up an extensive document covering what I saw on CD and in M09 that'll go to Josh Looman as soon as I'm finished with it.

I'll be blunt, I wasn't overwhelmed by franchise mode. There were some major upgrades, but they were placeholders when we were there and we never got much of a taste of them. It was the familiar Madden franchise mode, except that it worked. There are definitely some upgrades, don't get me wrong, but I was hoping for them to strip out a good deal of NFL head coach and port it over. That, regrettably, wasn't feasible due to time constraints (they decided, imho rightfully, that the game on the field needed to be the priority). Also, I've changed my mind about online franchise- I do think it'll be in the game, though I have no confirmation of that- and I don't think they wanted to work with something as complex as NFL HC09 for its first year. Too much could go wrong, I guess.

It's still lots of time for that. My guess is they're still working on it.

as far as pile ups all you have to do is challenge the call if the other team comes up with it lol.
