Agreed. One of the main reasons I stopped buying Madden and why I haven't finished a season in ages. Truly pathetic.
Madden 2001 had the best ending if you won the super bowl. On the PC version atleast, the team would carry the coach Mike Holmgren style, I won with the Eagles and watched them pick up that fat bastard LOL. Since 01 all Madden games sucked with the endings.
GTA 4 is one of the worst for me, you get 2 endings fine, but at the end its nothing spectacular. Compared that to Vice City and San Andreas were much much better.
COD WaW, Assassin's Creed, Half Life 2 and Medal of Honor Pacific Assault are others that come to mind.
you guys did open up that final part of Assassin's Creed where everything opens up and you recognize something really fucking scary and really important didn't you?
Spoiler below...
I've completely forgotten how, but the part where you use your super vision or whatever and look at the wall and realize that someone in there before you had written hundreds of things all over the wall in his blood.
It was a bitch of an ending, and really left you feeling like there was more to be doing in the game. but I'll be excited to play the sequel and see what exactly happened.
