I hear this game is going to cost $15, as ar all of the 'Summer of Arcade' titles. GTFO! Wasn't the first TMNT game $5? And now this shit is three times the price? Zero chance I buy it. It's $5 over priced.

Shadow Complex is definitely worth $15. This game? No fucking way.

I think I played the arcade version back in the day. Either way it's not worth $15. I'm not the only one who feels that way. Every podcast I listen to has been saying the same thing.

It just seems like MS is gradually increasing the average price of XBLA games and no one seems to give a shit. It probably won't be long before every game is $25.

Why'd they have to touch this game? I got excited until I saw the price, 1200 microsoft points which converts to $15. No thanks!

And the problem is that no one seems to care.

Big news guys. This one just in from Joystiq, MS repriced it to 800 points!

Find in-depth gaming news and hands-on reviews of the latest video games, video consoles and accessories.

Cowabunga! Bodacious! Other TMNT saying! Pardon the hoopla, but Ubisoft has confirmed to Joystiq that next week's XBLA "Summer of Arcade" release, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled, will debut at 800 ($10), 400 ($5) less than the originally announced 1200 ($15) price.

"We wanted to give something to the loyal TMNT fans in honor of the 25th anniversary," Ubisoft responded when asked about the last-minute change. Then again, dare we really question the generosity of a mega-publisher when it actually want us to shell out less for its games? (Oh, and for those eyeing the 800 [$10] rebate from MS for buying everything in the Summer of Arcade lineup? Well, it just got $5 cheaper to buy "everything.")

I don't want to go all Twigg with my MS conspiracy theories here, but my guess is they had intended an 800 point sale to begin with, but figured they'd try 1200 to see if people would bite. Everybody went crazy, and they dropped it to 800 to act like they're listening.

I personally don't give a shit about the points thing, because if I really want something I'll get it and enjoy it from 5 to 15 bucks. If I think 15 is too much, I just won't get it.

I'll play through the demo probably. I'll likely pick it up, but we'll see. Still looks like it'll be good. I don't think it means its going to suck or anything... I think there's something to SethMode's thinking. People will now be thinking they are getting a deal at 800 points.

Lol, my school just tried pulling the same crap. They were proposing an 11% tuition hike for undergrads (state average is 5.5%) and lowered it to 9% and passed it. The student body is livid.

Despite the fact that it's likely that's exactly what they were going to do, I think it's a much more reasonable price point for the game. I don't consider it a deal they lowered it, I think they lowered it to where it should have been from the start.

I'll buy it now. Too bad I still have no interest in buying MvC so I can't take of advantage of the 800pt refund.
