Finally Getting One.

OK, so it's official I dumped my 360 off today and got just over 200 dollars in returns, that's including a slew of games and accessories. I probably could have gotten more buck for my bang shopping it on ebay, but seeing as I'm just fed up with the system and it was quick and painless I'll take a 50% discount towards a PS3.

I'll probably be getting it next week if I convince the Wife to let me get it before we purchase a Wii. She's wanted a Wii since we've been together and we've talked about it, I don't see her as an avid gamer though because she barely touches the PS2 unless she wants to play Rockband. Which we could get for the PS3 so one more way for me to butter the bread towards a PS3.

I need to know though, besides the sports games. What are good pickups. I want a multi-player shooter, or at least something that's multi-player and something that has a deep interest with the PS3 users on VSN. Lastly of course, I'll be hosting an OD on the PS3 when NCAA drops later this summer. Give me some feedback guys.

MGS4 is AWESOME.

GT5 is going to be rediculous as well. Like jizzworthy rediculous. I got LBP and it's a great game that I can 100% guarantee you and your girl could get into together. It would easily pull her away from rockband from time to time. Me and my girl played together and my girlfriend is illiterate when it comes to video games but it was great. I really didn't like Killzone 2 all that much but it's a solid title.

Socom is def worth getting and you can get it on your PS3 from the playstation store. Maybe killzone if your into that type of game. You don't like COD? Also the godfather 2 is fun and MGS4 is a must have for all ps3 owners.

If you like action games at all get Wolverine. It's fucking amazing. Although it is obviously multiplatform.

also burnout is a great racing game if you like racing games and you can buy it from the playstation store.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I had this up yesterday and was worried people would just look past it. I appreciate all the title suggestions. More than likely I'll pick up LBP, I refuse to get The Show until I finish at least one season with my PS2. I'm not big into CoD, at least WaW due to the fact I played it on 360 and after the initial wear off of eye candy, not too much to the game to keep me interested.

The game that has VSN interest is The Show, nobody plays anything thing else. I have Socom, but that is getting old because it only has 7 maps. The PS3 is cool, but online is boring as crap right now.

damn, I'm actually surpised by all the PS3 support here. You guys really think it's that much better than Xbox360? I dont care about blueray...online play isnt huge, but it would be nice to play online every once in awhile.

I've noticed this trend on a few message boards, once were dominated by 360 fanboys, and now its more of an even field.

IMO, the PS3 is the stronger system as far as features, and will be better in the long haul.

What do you mean about playing online?

I am saying the hardware is built stronger, has more power for developers to advance on.
Blu-ray (which you don't care about i know),
Controllers charge through any usb port (I charge them on my laptop),
wireless media streaming from my laptop to the PS3,
ability to upgrade to any hd size, and it doesn't have to be a Sony hard drive,
less than 1% failure rate, memory cards can just be usb flash drives,
free online which is always progressing (i will admit its not to xbl standards, but its not bad)
HDMI standard
1080i, 1080p gaming (although only a few are in true 1080p)
