A question for SIM players

If you were gonna participate in a SIM LG or a game what would be your main rule concerns?
Let's say the game was gonna start 100% freestyle but you got to create 3 rules to make it as SIM as possible or to your liking. What would it be?

For me:

1. No RC. Self explanitory
2. No abuse of the Curls. That shit is like impossible to stop if you don't fully commit to it.
3. No Constant motioning on a run play, especially out of Fullhouse.

Ok, what's your 3?

In all seriousness, everyone's definition of sim is different, someone who plays sim and says "play it like it's meant to be played" won't get along well with someone who is sim and whores out the Jumbo T/FH/Twin TE claiming that football was originally played primarily out of power sets all game....

Arguing sim style is pointless....

Hopefully when Madden 10 comes out you can play online games with Fair Play, and then a bunch of the cheese things like FB dive, and the QB sneak which is impossible to stop at the goalline, don't work as well and develop as quickly (See a previous EA Blog).

3) No milking the clock unless its under 2 minutes to go in the 1st half or 4th quarter -- I guess not really a sim thing but it just annoys the hell out of me when people do that -- lol

cant no huddle 50% of the time-this is hard to put a number on it but i hate playing games where a guy calls 1 set then no huddles after every play and just auidbles out.

No audbling down on offesne or defense

No Milking clock with over 2 mins left.

Funny thing is dont mind RC too much, i guess i never played anyone who really abused it bad.

I agree with this except if it's inside 3 minutes left in the 4th then there are obviously instances where you might have to go for it in your own territory to win the game.

this is about it for me. also i would include no using glitches of any kind but i would assume that is a given in str8/sim style play anyways.

most sim guys arent going to be mad if you go for it down big in the second half or down in the 4th

agreed herm. in all the sim leagues i have been in or have run there is always room to go for it on 4th in the second half or late in the game, depending on the size of the defecit.

I wouldn't join a league or play a game with only three rules. IMO, "sim" play requires an entire set of rules that everyone in a league must agree to play by.

You're missing the whole point of the thread....

actually no, clw is right... while the no glitching and the no using the same plays and punting on 4th down are standards, sim communities usually have their own idea and style of play they expect and that takes a lot more than 3 rules.
