I got owned the first time I played Rise of Nations with some friends at a local computer cafe. I was in for a rude awakening when I had my defense of horses try to hold off my buddies tanks.

Needless to say my army of 100 horses died in two seconds.

That stuff happens to me all the time. I used to play RTS games with a bunch of my friends, and they wouldn't tell me I could upgrade into further tiers, so I'd have like 50 of the worst units raping for the first 20 minutes.

Needless to sy, they'd spend 20 minutes prepping to get the best unit, which 3 of them would decimate my entire force.

My old roomate and I started an NCAA 2 team dynasty and played all day. Made it through the entire first season and into the second. Game froze and we lost everything (smart to not save). Never started up the league again.

Well it was on Gamebattles.com and it was a championship COD4 match. It was Best of 5 and the last map was Pipeline Search and Destroy. First we were up 3-1 but then we lost that round and I'm the last one left in a 3-2 match when we're up and they only have one guy left. First I see him and shoot him from the back but he turned on me and killed me in 2 shots. I literally screamed my ass off (Really into gaming then). Ok then 3-3. We have 3 guys left and they have 1 left. First both of my teammates get killed by the same frag grenade. I got the bomb planted. Then I was in the most intense gunfight for about 15 seconds. I tried to run away and preserve time to make sure he wouldn't be able to defuse. He killed me then he picked up the bomb with 8 seconds left (The GB Rules Defuse time is 7.5). I was hoping it would blow on him since the bomb blows early but of course he barely defuses and we lose.

Too many to remember, but my most recent one was when I was playing Left 4 Dead on expert with a buddy. We were about halfway through 'No Mercy' and bolted past a charging tank into the safe room. The buddy and I get into the safe room and I turn to close the door. It turns out I missed it the first time so I press the button again at which point the tank rounds the corner, trapping the door open. Lo and behold, once he's inside the safe room, the door closes. Bye bye us.

Playing PES 2009 the other week. Leading the game 4-1 at half time to continue moving on in 2nd division cup. All I need to do is make sure they don't tie the game. Computer comes back, scores 3 goals to tie it. I then proceed to take the lead in the 87th minute. Computer scores it's fifth goal to tie the game in injury time. Pissed.

Anytime in a game where I've been playing it for 3 hours then it went frozen on me. I cannot tell you how many RPGs and Dynasties I stopped playing because of that.

Couple years back on NBA 2k7. I was the New Orleans Hornets and hosted a chise, I struggled throughout the season but in the final 20 games went 15-5 to secure a six seed in the playoffs. Got all the way to the Western Conference Finals against the Spurs that swept me, I didn't get close to winning a game the first three were at least 20 point blowouts.

Anything recently would be my meltdown in New York with my Indians dynasty. Up three going into the bottom of the ninth A-Roid hits a grand slam walk off homer.

Unfortunately I haven't gotten to play a lot of true RTS games, recently. I haven't had the interest but in Iraq my buddies and I would play Age of Empires 2. I attempted to build the Spanish armada and was quickly destroyed by a friends whose war boats blasted my Empire back to the stone age. I retreated and attempted to build my nation back up only to be overran by Persian War Elephants.
