The Consistency: Both teams defensively have given up 30+ points, however it will be the running defense that is going to play a bigger role in today's game I feel. Whichever team will be more consistent in stopping the runners from getting those 10-20 yard long gains will be the team that wins the battle of momentum here.

The Quarterbacks: It has to be said, but Gary Kubiak's has made the decision to remain with rookie Graham Harrell, even though the Texas Tech graduate only had 6 completions the entire game against Oakland. On the other side is veteran Derek Anderson, who put up adequate numbers against Miami last week. Anderson should not have trouble with the Texans secondary, who had trouble against Ronald Curry last week.

The Receivers: Speaking of receivers, Patrick Turner, rookie from USC, remains in front of Chad Jackson for the Texans. Turner led the team in yards receiving with 45 last week, but his route running was suspect. Andre Johnson was not even a factor against Oakland. While some of his absence can be chalked up to quarterback error from Harrell, the Texans start player needs to pick it up today. Braylon Edwards is the Browns 'numero uno', but Dante Stallworth has a nack for making the big plays - so the Texans would be wise not to overpursue Edwards side of the field; tight end Kellen Winslow is a force as well.

The Score: 17-14 Texans. No, I'm not sure that Harrell will get the job done, but I think the Texans defense will start to improve throughout the game. The game is going to be kept close due to errors mostly - but I think the Texans win it at the end with a field goal from Kris Brown with no time remaining.

And then some, I was doing pretty good for once running the ball, usually my stick skills are worthless. But with CJ - I feel like Houdini.

You know that was the plan for the first game against Oakland. But, there was no budge from their D at the time. Made some questionable throws too though. Not everything was 'user error' though - believe it or not - some of the wideouts couldn't catch jack-squat. I would say about 85% of the pass plays were designed for someone who wasn't a rook, so this past game I kept it simple with shorter routes, and just focused on getting the ball to the receivers for 3-7 yard gains, and letting them shine.
