This is a report I have been doing on other forums - reason for no updates recently is due to a faulty xbox DVD-ROM drive. Currently waiting for the upgrade.

Bruce Gradkowski has been signed for $5.7M, 4 years.
Gary Kubiak on Gradkowski: "Bruce will fit into our system as the third string quarterback, possibly backup to Matt Schaub depending on how he does in practice. He has a lot to prove and I am confident that he is not going to settle for being a third stringer."
Matt Schaub on Gradkowski: "I think it is great for us to snag Bruce. He had a great college career and still has a lot to prove in the NFL. I understand he has had a string of bad performances in the NFL, but hopefully he will get his chance if I ever leave the team...till then - probably not."
Ahman Green's knee injury extended from 4 weeks to 7 weeks.
Texans Physio, Tom Colt: "Ahman has faced an injury that will keep him out instead of the originally stated 4 weeks. It appears the knee tendonitis has worsened over the course of a couple of days and proper treatment is now being applied."
Gary Kubiak on Ahman Green: "As I said before, this injury is devastating - but now it is really up to which running back, Steve Slaton or Chris Taylor, wants to step up. I will decide by the end of this week on who the starter will be. After last week, my center has the best chance at grabbing the starting job [laughs]."
The Texans and Jaguars currently occupy the bottom barrel of the AFC South, while the Titans and the Colts are on top.

Ron Dayne has been signed for $1.72M, 2 years.
Gary Kubiak on Dayne: "This was a late signing for us because we thought it would be possible to run a two-back game with Chris Taylor as backup to Steve Slaton, but there were no subs in place after those two. I think Ron is the perfect man for the job as he can really bring the load when called upon."
Kris Brown on Dayne: "I'm the kicker - why the hell are you asking me?"

Titans rookie running back, Chris Johnson, has demanded a trade - and has now been placed on the Trading Block.
Chris Johnson: "I do not want to be a Titan any longer. I may be a rookie, but I'm the fastest one out there - it's time to go shopping. I'm not going to say what my problems are with this franchise, but let's just say I want to start - and I'm not starting here."
Jeff Fisher (Titans Head Coach) on Chris Johnson: "This is between Chris and his agent. As far as we are concerned, this is an issue of ego and it's unfortunate to be happening when we are already in the season."
Gary Kubiak (Houston), Lovie Smith (Chicago), Ken Wisenhunt (Arizona) on Chris Johnson: "Yes! Me want."
Teams Interested in Johnson:
1. Houston Texans - offer sent.
2. Chicago Bears - offer sent.
3. Arizona Cardinals - offer sent.
4. New York Giants - offer status unknown.
5. New York Jets - offer status unknown.
6. Detroit Lions - offer status unknown.

The Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans have had a falling out in regards to the Chris Johnson trade proposals. According to our sources, the trade is working in Favor of the Texans, but are not willing to give up only a 1st Rounder, and the Titans are only wanting to give away Johnson - and only Johnson as, "Every other Titan is happy in Nashville".
Texans GM Rick Smith: "What we have here is a simple lock out. They not only want a 1st Round draft pick, but our 2nd Rounder as well. To me it looks like they are just taking advantage of the situation and I honestly think if they keep that up - Johnson won't be going anywhere."
Titans GM Mike Reinfeldt: "Call it what you will, we are losing a premier running back - and are making sure we get what he's worth out of any deal. For one we are not going to go over and beyond for our division rivals, I'm not about to make them better."
Teams Interested in Johnson (as of 9/24/08):
1. Houston Texans - offer sent (rejected).
2. Chicago Bears - offer sent (under review).
3. Arizona Cardinals - offer sent (under review).
4. New York Giants - offer sent (under review).
5. New York Jets - offer status unknown.
6. Detroit Lions - offer status unknown.

The Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans have agreed on a trade that is grabbing the nation's attention:
Texans send:
WR Kevin Walter, CB Jacques Reeves, 2nd Round Pick (2009)
Titans send:
RB Chris Johnson, CB Cortland Finnegan, 2nd Round Pick (2009)
Texans GM Rick Smith: "I want to thank the Tennesse Titans organization for helping us put this together and working with us the whole way. It took some convincing for Cortland [Finnegan] to be part of the deal, but I am sure he will be happy as a Texan."
Titans GM Mike Reinfeldt: "It's a smart trade, we are an organization that is about keeping the family happy - and Chris Johnson was not helping that agenda. Losing Cortland in the deal is going to set on our minds, but Jacques Reeves is an adequate replacement. Not to mention we grabbed a 2nd-round pick out of the trade, which is going to come in handy when the Texans are dead last in the NFL."
