2008/2009 Final Regular Season Stats And Personal Feedback:
Starters:
Rediculously fast which allowed me to lead the league in steals and also push the ball in transition often. His lack of an outside shot frustrated me to no end though. He does have a player option but I may attempt to trade him for a point with an outside shot this offseason.
The only thing Wally was consistent at was being inconsistent. When he's on, he's on but when he's off, his offense is nowhere to be found. His defense is forgettable at best. He was decent to get me through this year but his large expiring is what he will be remembered most for in Indiana.
A cheap man's Lebron. At least for me he was. Well, maybe a Lebron with a much nicer jumper. Granger is my go to guy and my most efficient player by a landslide. Franchise is being built around him as it should be.
Great clean up man. Hard worker, shows a lot of hustle, diving for loose balls which allowed him to rack up steals. Decent in the post. I may consider bringing him back but according to his player card, he wants to test free agency. I won't lose sleep over it.
Defensive powerhouse. Grew a knack for scoring with him as time progressed. Became a solid 2nd/3rd scoring option for me. Incredible rebounder and shot blocker. All-Star caliber center alongside Danny.
Reserves:
Didn't like his game much at all at start of season. Total opposite now. He is probably the 2nd best defender on the team besides Kaman and a very solid player off the bench on both sides of the ball. A surprisingly adept passer as well in stretches where he played the point. Will more than likely accept his team option this year despite the 7 million dollar price tag.
Played behind Granger for most of the season. Decent spot up mid range jumper. Handles could use some work to improve ability to get to rim. Still young though with plenty of potential. Very valuable piece on my roster.
Williams is a difference maker on both sides of the floor. Momentum seems to swing when he makes a play. My team started winning a lot more games it seemed like after acquiring him. May land the starting 4 spot for me in the upcoming season depending how chips fall in free agency.
His height makes him a monster out there. Block shots, scoring inside, the whole 9 yards. Not exactly an exciting player to use but still productive.
Acquired him at trade deadline to give me a 3 point threat at the point gaurd position. Surprised me with his passing while living up to what was asked of him. Hit some big shots in some games. Cheap player as well, making less than 1 million next year.
Incredibly potent offensive player once you learn to use him. Not too shabby on defense either because of his height. Unfortunately, only brought along to help when my roster was injury riddled and didn't see much playing time after that. One player I wish I had the room to keep.
My bench warmers. Diawara has another year with me to put up with zero playing time. Mcroberts will leave this year. I pray Hassell is pissed enough with zero playing time and chooses to decline his player option and free up 4.5 million dollars in the process.
Only played with him for 3-4 games before he tore his ACL and was forced to miss the rest of the season. Will probably start at the 2 spot for me next season depending on what happens in free agency. Was actually pretty decent for the short amount of time I was able to use him.Comment
