Chris Fowler: Alright guys, we are here... Championship Week! ESPN is in Atlanta, Georgia for the SEC Championship Game. Representing the West is 7th ranked Alabama. They started the year on a seven game winning streak and rose to number one in the nation. Then they got upset by Tennessee 37 to 27. The next game they got manhandled by LSU 31 to 0. However since then, they have won three straight and won the tie breaker against Ole Miss. Representing the East is Georgia. Georgia came into the season a little under the radar but have had a great season and are undefeated. The last time these two teams met was last year during the "Blackout". Alabama jumped out to a 31-0 lead. Georgia fought late but lost 41-30. Will this game be any different guys?
Lee Corso: No way Jose! Georgia goes as far as Caleb King takes them and he won't go far against Alabama. They have the sixth best defense in the nation. They also have one of the best pass defenses in the nation and Joe Cox will struggle mightily. I am definately picking.... [reaches for mascot head]. Alabama! Roll Tide Roll!
Kirk Herbstreit: I have to agree with you Lee. I just can not see Georgia doing better than they did last year. That team was better offensively and Alabama was worse defensively. Saban has always dominated the Dawgs and it will continue here. Crimson Tide play the spoiler role!

A report has just surfaced that superstar Caleb King has been injured and has torn his shoulder in the fourth quarter against Alabama. He is out for the rest of the year (ten weeks). The Dawgs will need a player to step up now.
Dawg fans can now buy their tickets for the National Championship Game as the Georgia Bulldogs beat Alabama 27-24. Alabama started the game off fast driving down to the redzone on the opening drive. However the Georgia defense stood tough and forced a field goal. Georgia then drove down the field but was also held to a field goal. At the end of the first quarter, the score was 3-3.
The teams exchanged fieldgoals in the second quarter and the score was 6-6 with a minute left in the half. Then the play of the game happened... Alabama tried to score one last time but an errant pass was intercepted and returned 56 yards by Prince Miller. 13-6.
Bama intercepted a pass on the Dawg's first possession in the third quarter. They could only gainn 5 yards though on the drive and were limited to a field goal once more. 13-9. On the next drive Caleb King carried the Dawg's to a touchdown with 1:43 left in the third period. 20-9. Alabama wasn't done though as Julio Jones caught a touchdown pass to make it 20-16.
On the first play of the fourth quarter, Caleb King tore his shoulder and left the game. A hero was born as on his first carry, Richard Samuel went 44 yards for six points. 27-16. Alabama continued to fight back however and made the score 27-24 with three minutes left. That is as close as they would get though as Richard Samuel continued to get first downs and eat up the clock.
