Fresh off a stunning national championship win two Tarheel stars enter the NBA Draft . DeSean Williamson and DJ Jones . Rewind to March , the most talented 1-2 Guard combo in the NCAA is tearing up March Madness . Jones, who led March Madness in assists with 10 APG picked up player of the tournement honors . Williamson was the perfect guy to go with Jones in college , a shooter who can knock down threes and midrange J`s all day long .

When asked about the possibility of going to the same team Williamson said , "Not happening , we are both top 5 picks . How would that work?" . And the cocky star is not far from the truth either , it is very possible that both guys are top 5 picks in Thursdays NBA Draft .

When asked who he would like to go to in the NBA Jones stated a few teams . "Washington , Dallas , Memphis . They would be fun as hell to play for . Me and O.J (Mayo) are cool and I would love to play with him for my career".

Jones who has worked out with all the teams in the draft could bring a speedy passer who can shoot the three to the table . Where as Williamson would bring a pure shooter who can leap out of his shoes .

DJ Jones - Best outcome


Jones has alot of Paul like qualities and can probably shoot from the outside even better than "CP3" can . Paul however , has much better defense and leadership skills at the point .

While Jones is a much better passer than McCants he can sometimes get greedy like the ex-UNC star . Both guys are very prone to chucking up shoots that make the coaches say .... "WTF? GET OF MY COURT"


DeSean Williamson - Best Outcome


Williamson and Smith are alot alike , both guys can go hot and cold at the drop of a hat . Both guys cant play a lick of defense either . Williamson will need to work on his D if he hopes to be better than a streaky 6th Man according to this expert

Starting to see a pattern here? Another streaky shooter who doesnt know the meaning of defense. The only thing that stops Williamson from being a Mo-Pete type guy is that he has toughness and grit , something that Mo would have problems locating in a dictionary never mind showing on the court.

Big Fish in a small Pond

For Phillip Shawn the NBA experience is huge , almost over-whelming in fact . He played his college ball at the University of Texas at Arlington where he achieved 1st team All Southland conference honors in 2 out of his 3 years . Shawn is being talked about as a top 20 pick , thats alot for a guy who never even made the NCAA Tournement in his 3 years at college . Shawn however , shows toughness and leadership skills that are second to none .

When asked about his biggest moment in college Shawn spoke with a smile on his face about the day his Texas team beat Baylor . "It was huge , everybody doubted our team and we just flat out played . My teammates played the game of their lives and I was lucky enough to score 40 points with 12 Assists" .

Unlike some of the big school players Shawn said he would be happy to sign for any team in the NBA . "Why not? This is my dream , i would sign for an 0-82 team tmorrow if it got me into the NBA" There are some negatives to being a small school kid though , Shawn hasnt been seen alot on primetime tv and certainly has never played infront of a huge attentence with the world watching unlike the UNC , Duke guys . Many people are wondering wether he can repeat success against the cream of the crop.

Phillip Shawn - Best Outcome


Shawn is seen by many as Devin Harris V2 . He can shoot , pass , jump and run an offense at ease . If he has half the career as Harris is set to achieve he should be more than happy.

Kirk Hinrich would be described as a hard worker who shows great leadership . Well thats Phillip Shawn in a nutshell , granted Shawn seems to have more offensive tools but there is alot of comparisions to be drawn between the two
