Purdue's Captain, All American Free Safety Ishmael Aristide is done for the season
Ishmael was having an off year on a tackling scale, only have 38 to this point of the season
With Purdue trying to hold onto a lead in "The Horseshoe", they saw their captain of the defense go down with an injury that didn't look good from the start.
Ishmael Aristide was diagnosed with a Broken collarbone, and is expected to miss 6 more weeks. Ishmael was having an off year, to say the least. In his Freshman season he had 73 tackles, Sophomore year 90, and he only had 38 this year. He is on pair with his career high in interceptions with three.
Good thing is, this injury doesn't end his career. He's only a Junior, so he can rebound next year to his All American form. For the rest of the season, Freshman Ryan Taylor will take the reigns of starting free safety. He had 7 tackles against Ohio State.
Purdue is now #14 in the polls, and are going to Bloomington to face Indiana Hoosiers, who are going through a tough season at 2-8. The Boilermakers will look to claim the Old Oaken Bucket for the 5th year in a row.
