    Editor's Note

Despite the first patch being released today I have decided that I will play the remainder of the 2010 season without the patch. I do not want to be forced to tweak sliders and get used to new gameplay settings in the middle of a season so I will wait until the 2011 off-season to download the title update.

Game 8, Year 2: Cincinnati Bengals at Atlanta Falcons

        26 -- 5-3
        17 -- 4-4

With receivers Brandon London and Mike Furrey cheering him on, Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco does his self-named "Slip and Slide" dance following a 60-yard game-breaking touchdown that made the score 26-14 late in the third quarter. "I was told I couldn't go to the ground to celebrate without being penalized so I dived before scoring and now I can't get in trouble," said Ochocinco.

BENGALS DEFENSE SHUTS DOWN FALCONS' ATTACK IN 26-17 WIN

Cincinnati collects three sacks and three interceptions to improve record to 5-3 | CB Hall picks off QB Ryan twice to lead Bengals to third straight win | WR Ochocinco has another solid performance gaining 105 receiving yards and a touchdown

The Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Atlanta Falcons 26-17 Sunday afternoon at the Georgia Dome. Cincinnati QB Carson Palmer went 20 of 29 for 232 yards and two touchdowns and WR Chad Ochocinco caught 7 receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown to lead the Bengals. Ochocinco's 60-yard touchdown on a post-pattern with just 0:10 remaining in the third quarter provided Cincinnati with a 26-14 cushion.

"(Falcons CB) Brian Williams tried to cover me one on one on a post pattern and that just wasn't happening," said Ochocinco.

The story of the game was the work of the Cincinnati defense defending against the potent Falcons defense. Bengals CB Leon Hall picked off Falcons QB Matt Ryan two times, including a game-clinching interception with under two minutes to play. Bengals rookie FS Taylor Mays also got in the act, catching an interception on a deep pass attempt in the third quarter. The Bengals outscored the Falcons 13-0 in the quarter and forced three turnovers during the period, including a stop of Falcons RB Michael Turner on 4th and 1 deep in Bengals territory.

Cincinnati (5-3) will host the New York Jets (4-4) next week at home. The team will be looking for its fourth consecutive victory and looks to extend their 1-game lead in the AFC North division.

Way to go pulling out the win! Ochocinco was on fire again. He is on quite the roll and you've taken a controlling lead in the North. Mays looks like he is putting together a pretty solid rookie season with that second interception. Good luck in the next game!

Mays is definitely starting to step up. I don't know what it is, but it seems like he is around the ball a lot more often now. Perhaps the start of the season was just a fluke.

Chad is the man. That's all I gotta say about that.

                    Wed, 9 Nov 2010 10:07:49 -0700
Bengals.com reports that Bengals rookie first round pick, CB Joe Haden (80 overall), has replaced CB Jonathan Joseph (77 overall) in the starting lineup. Haden, the team's second of 2 first round picks, has been serving as the team's nickle back through the first eight games of the 2010 season.

                    Bengals | WR Ochocinco fined
                    Wed, 9 Nov 2010 10:07:49 -0700
Adam Shefter of ESPN.com reports that Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco has been fined $10,000 for his "Slip and Slide" endzone dance during the team's 26-17 week 9 win at Atlanta. Ochocinco was not penalized on the play but the fine comes as a result of the league's rule against going to the ground to celebrate after scoring. "This is a bunch of bull. They say I went to the ground to celebrate but in reality I dove into the endzone and was already on the ground," said Ochocinco. "You best believe I'm appealing this one. This is bull, man. They always out to get me."

Stupid question, but how do you do screen shots?

3 in a row! Nice win against the Falcons. Bernard Scott continues his Jekyll and Hyde performances with another nice day on the ground. Mays is starting to come into his own. Won't be long before he starts making plays every week for you.

Thanks man...I think the change to "Mike Martz's" playbook has paid dividends for Palmer.

                              Not a stupid question.

The way I do it is with just a regular digital camera. I play on a 52 inch HD screen and just take a snap shot and upload it to the computer.

There are more sophisticated ways of doing it, like with a capture card, but I am satisfied with the quality I get doing it this way.

Haden has 92 speed. I figured the time is right for him to get promoted. Joseph isn't doing anything special and Haden seems to be the better overall player.

Yeah you never know who is going to be "the guy" at RB in my system. Like I said before, my team is a fantasy football player's nightmare when it comes to RBs.

Mays is the man. His pick was sweet...It was a deep pass jump ball situation and he snagged it.

Bears | Team signs RB Benson
                                Wed, 9 Nov 2010 10:07:49 -0700
Adam Shefter of ESPN.com reports that the Chicago Bears have signed former first round pick Cedric Benson to a 1-year contract. Benson, who was drafted fourth overall by the Bears in 2005, had spent the past 2+ season with the Cincinnati Bengals. Benson was released during the 2010 off-season by the Bengals, one season after rushing for 406 yards and three touchdowns for the team. He is expected to assume the role of back-up running back behind starter Matt Forte.
