Clippers Season Preview
The Los Angeles Clippers, a team who struggled majorly last season who finished with a record of 15-67. It was obvious that things werent clicking in L.A and things were getting worse as the season progressed. Now its time to change things around, "B-Diddy" , Baron Davis struggled last season and has promised fans to be more of a leader this season and that he knows his first season in L.A needed improvement.
"It takes me a while for me to get used to a situation and for people to get used to me. Now, I think I'm back to being me. Back to being who I know I can be. And I know how to be successful."
This isn't all the changes that have been made to the 2009/10 Clippers Team, there are more things to be excited about as a Clippers fan, more changes.
Coach Mike Dunleavy Announces Two Big Factors That He Wants To Be Focused On And Improved
1. Teamwork
The Title says it all for this team, "Teamwork Makes The Dream Work". Basketball is a team sport and Clippers Basketball will be all about working for eachother out on the court in season 2009/10. Coach Dunleavy has noticed the chemistry has gotten better already between the team in the pre-season and hopes it continues out on the court. If everybody can work together and play for eachother each game then we will find ourselves winning games. Baron Davis is a big part of the teamwork factor as every point guard is, Baron Davis will be expected to find open teamates all season as he does so well. His assist averages will be expected to be around 10 per game.
2. Defense
Secondly Coach Dunleavy knows that defence is a huge weakness for the Clippers, its known that it needs to be improved a lot and a lot of the time in the offseason will be used for defensive skills training. The team has some good defenders out there but our defense as a team needs to be improved this season if where going to have any chance of beating some of the top teams.
