In my Tigers chise there was like no trades for the first 1 and a half months or so. The CPU starts doing trades once you get in far enough? Is that how it works?

If GSW doesn't mind, Mike, the teams gauge what is going to happen in the first three months of the season. Often you can tell if your team is going to stay average .500, start to tank -.500, or prosper, +.500. GSW is at that point where teams are putting pieces together. The pieces that arn't working are often shipped to fill voids, thus if your bullpen is sucking and you have more than one LF/RF you can afford to lose that outfielder to fill the need.

The Trade Deadline is July 31st I believe. This isn't the NBA where trades happen in the first month or so, you'll see some movements in June, a lot in July. Of course after the trade deadline, you won't see them again until the off-season where teams figure out what worked, what didn't, and did the trades we made in season, work out. You gotta get out of the NBA mind-set where pieces are easily interchangable and you only have to worry about 5-7 players, instead now you have 40 players, plus minors to monitor.

Yeah, I understand that. I was just wondering only because in NBA2k9 trades happen pretty often. I wasn't sure if I had CPU trades off or something in my Tigers chise considering none had happen (to the best of my knowledge at least) up to the point where I was in the season.

If the trading AI in this game is so advanced that it makes moves depending on the current performance of the team and actually waits until 3 months in, THATS DOPE.

This is one of the best baseball chises out currently. Maybe not graphically, but it is a consistent chise and that's what I enjoy.
