Thanks. Sick catch. Seems like it would've been easier for Miggy to just back up and get it but the cpu made me control Polanco so I had to hustle my ass over there. lol.

Treanor To Get First Start Of Season

Gerald Laird will get a day off in the Tigers upcoming afternoon game against the Royals according to team sources. Matt Treanor, who has not started a game so far this season, will get the start in Laird's place.

Treanor has hit .237 with eight homers and 70 RBIs in 723 big league at-bats, and is the husband of U.S. volleyball gold medalist Misty May-Treanor, who teams with Kerri Walsh to form the most formidable two-woman tandem in the sport.

"Matt handles young pitchers like a pro and really works at his trade," said Jim Leyland. "He's like a coach on the field. And while he is not a big offensive threat, he is a gamer at bat. He knows his role and is a good chemistry, good team guy."

Tigers Rally In The 9th To Force Extra Innings, Win It In The 12th

            (8-9) @ (7-9)

Matt Treanor was a pleasant surprise off the Tigers bench today, batting 2 for 5 and hitting this 2 run shot in the 4th.

The Tigers got a big win as they took advantage of some poor bullpen work on the part of the Royals. In an extra inning road game at Kauffman Stadium, the Tigers beat the Royals 12-10 in 12 frames tonight. Miguel Cabrera was a force offensively, going 3 for 6 and bringing in 2 runs off a 2 run shot in the 9th, capping off a 4 run inning and forcing the game into extra innings. Coming into a tie game, Bobby Seay was able to snatch his 1st win of the season, pitching 1 and a third innings in relief of Jeremy Bonderman, who had a rather tough outing. Carlos Guillen rose to the occasion as he drilled a 2 run homer in the top of the 12th putting the Tigers up 12-10. Joel Zumaya would close the door in the bottom of the 12th and earn his 4th save of the year. Behind starting pitcher Edwin Jackson (0-3, 10.66 ERA), the Tigers look to complete a big road sweep against the Royals tomorrow afternoon. Brian Bannister (1-0, 3.63 ERA) gets the call for the Royals. Carlos Guillen will look to add to his 17 game hitting streak.

You're not having trouble with fatigue? All of my players have had to miss at least 1 game due to fatigue.

That 6th inning...I don't wanna talk about it. Bonderman blows.

Luckily the bats came out and we got the big hits when we needed them. Great feeling.

Laird sat out last because he needed rest. :headscratch: Traenor was surprisingly productive.

And other players have missed games for rest throughout the season.

More importantly, beating the Royals is HUGE. They are division rivals. And I'm finally at .500!

Gallarraga is a fucking beast- he pitched a complete game shutout against me.

                        Keep doing what your doing.

                          (9-9) @ (7-10)

Miggy did it all tonight, including this solid defensive play, throwing out a Royal hitter from the seat of his pants.

The visting Tigers continue to roll, defeating the Royals in an AL Central contest for win number 4 in a row. The Tigers blasted the Royals, winning by a score of 11-4 and sending the 18,119 fans on hand home full of gloom, despair, and bad tidings. Miguel Cabrera carried the club, going 4 for 6 with 2 doubles, a home run and 5 RBI. Edwin Jackson could get through 5 and a third innings, giving up 4 runs and 7 hits, but it was good enough for a win. The Tigers and Yankees begin a series tomorrow night at Comerica Park, in a pitching matchup featuring Dontrelle Willis (1-0, 3.66 ERA) and Phil Hughes (2-0, 5.63 ERA).
