Tigers Kick Off May On The Right Foot With Win Over Division Rival Indians

Despite striking out in his first 3 at bats, Gary Sheffield hit a 3 run homer to cap off a rally in the bottom of the 8th.

The Tigers staged a late rally in the bottom of the 8th to defeat the Indians in a game played under the lights at Comerica Park. The Tigers took a 7-3 win before a crowd of 22,825 fans. Miguel Cabrera went 2 for 4 and drilled a 3 run shot in the 1st inning to get things going early in this one. By the time things were settled though, Jeremy Bonderman was out of the game, though he did have a quality start by allowing 3 runs in 6 innings of work.
