Man, it was so sweet. Granderson led off the inning with a double. Polanco came up after him with a base hit and drove him in. I'm up 4-3. Then either Cabrera or Guillen got on base. Then Shef, who struck out 3 times already in the game, gets all of one and drills a 3 run homer. It was so sweet.

    Shef redeemed himself.

lol what!? At this pace I'd finish with over 50 homers and 130 RBI.

          That's not mvp worthy?!

Asssuming I can keep up this pace of course.

not MVP worthy if we have A-Roid in the league and people riding his dick thinking he's the best baseball player ever ;) dont worry Mike MIggy will hit at least 55.

Jackson Has Another Rough Outing, Tigers Fall At Home

                (13-10) vs (15-8)

Adam Everett erupts after a questionable call at 1st base and would eventually be ejected.

It was a bad day at the home yard for the Tigers, who lost fairly easily to the division rival Indians today, 7-2. Magglio Ordonez seems to be getting into a rhythm batting in the #6 spot in the Tigers lineup now, as he went 3-4 along with a solo home run and a double to pace the Tigers offense. Edwin Jackson (1-4) started and took the loss. He didn't pitch much (5 innings), and he didn't pitch well (gave up 5 hits and 4 runs) in defeat. Tomorrow's game at Comerica Park featuring a matchup of Dontrelle Willis (1-1, 4.62 ERA) of the Tigers and Carl Pavano (1-0, 3.75 ERA) of the Indians will mark the end of the 3 game series. Carlos Guillen can extend his hitting streak to 22 games in a row.

                Tigers Pitching:
                Edwin Jackson (L, 1-4) 5 IP | 5H | 4ER | 0BB | 4SO | 9.00 ERA
                Nate Robertson 4 IP | 4H | 3ER | 0BB | 4SO | 4.10 ERA

                Indians Pitching:
                Jeremy Sowers (W, 1-3) 6.1 IP | 5H | 2ER | 1BB | 5SO | 4.24 ERA
                Rafael Perez (S, 2) 2.2 IP | 1H | 0ER | 0BB | 0SO | 2.90 ERA

                Tigers Lineup:
                CF Curtis Granderson 1-4 | K

                3B Brandon Inge 1-4 | K

                2B: Ordonez
                SB: Granderson

                Indians Lineup:
                RF Shin-Soo Choo 4-4
                C Victor Martinez 1-4 | K
                CF Grady Sizemore 2-4
                1B Travis Hafner 0-4 | K
                SS Jhonny Peralta 1-4
                LF Ben Fransisco 0-4 | 2K
                DH Ryan Garko 0-4 | K
                2B Jamey Carroll 0-4 | 2K

                2B: Sizemore

                Player Of The Game:

                Grady Sizemore

Sizemore brought in a whopping 5 runs, more than enough to defeat the Tigers.

As far as Sheffield goes, he's actually playing decent for me. I'd rather maybe trade him for a team that needs a bat for a #4/5 starting pitcher in a 1 for 1 deal as opposed to just letting him go for nothing. However, I need some ideas as far as that goes. I also have to do that trade with the Braves here soon.

Guillen Helps Lifts Tigers Over Division Rival With Leadoff Walkoff Homer In Bottom Of 9th

                            (13-11) vs (16-8)

A mob scene at home plate as Carlos Guillen rounds the basepaths after a walkoff home run.

Guillen knew it was gone, Betancourt hangs his head in shame, Cabrera continues to go at it in the on-deck circle.

In a key AL Central Matchup today, the Tigers defeated the Indians in a tight game, picking up a narrow 4-3 victory at Comerica Park. Gerald Laird knocked in 2 runs, going 2 for 3 on the day with a home run. But the big story for the Tigers offense today, was Carlos Guillen's heroics. Down in the count 0-2, Guillen caught all of a Rafael Betancourt fastball and drove it over the right field wall, giving the Tigers the win and keeping his 23-game hitting streak alive. By the time things were settled, starter Dontrelle Willis was out of the game, though he did earn a quality start by allowing 3 runs in 6 and 2 thirds innings of work. Zach Miner earned the victory (his 3rd of the season), working 2 and a third innings and striking out 3 hitters in relief of Dontrelle. The Tigers welcome the Twins to Comerica Park tomorrow night, giving the start to ace Justin Verlander (2-2, 2.50 ERA), who will be opposed by Fransisco Liriano (4-1, 2.97 ERA). Already at 20-plus, Guillen will look to add to his 23 game hitting streak.

                            Tigers Pitching:
                            Dontrelle Willis 6.2 IP | 7H | 3ER | 1BB | 5SO | 4.50 ERA
                            Zach Miner (W, 3-0) 2.1 IP | 2H | 0ER | 0BB | 3SO | 2.54 ERA

                            Indians Pitching:
                            Carl Pavano 7 IP | 6H | 3ER | 0BB | 2SO | 3.77 ERA
                            Rafael Betancourt (L, 1-1) 1 IP | 2H | 1ER | 0BB | 0SO | 1.25 ERA
