Wizards Take Advantage of Homecourt; Blow Out Detroit
Wizards Take Advantage of Homecourt; Blow Out Detroit
[4] (1-1) @ (1-1) [5]
The Wizards celebrate their game three victory as the Pistons sulk off the court.
Lamar Odom throws down a huge slam over Detroit.
The Washington Wizards, coming off a victory in Detroit during game two, played the Pistons in D.C. for the first time in the series.
The crowd was electric, giving the Wizards a motivational boost. Lamar Odom played very well for the second straight game, posting a game-high 28 points to go along with six rebounds. Caron Butler also chipped in 19 points for Washington and rookie center JaVale McGee put up a big double-double.
The Pistons, on the other hand, had a hard time finding any offensive production. Allen Iverson was the team's leading scorer, with just 15 points. Rasheed Wallace, coming off of a 30-point performance in game two, was held to 14 by JaVale McGee. Richard Hamilton was only able to score two points on 1-5 shooting.
Game four will be in Washington D.C. once again. A win for the Wizards will bring them one game away from the NBA Semi-Finals, while a win for Detroit will even the series at 2-2.
