Vermont never gives Colorado a chance in blowout win

Boulder, CO - Everything was clicking for the Catamounts today in as they defeated
          Colorado today 34 to nothing.

It was a balanced attack for Vermont, as Matt Thompson ran for 158 yards and two
touchdowns, Terrance Oliver threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns and Matt Albin
caught eight balls for 162 yards and a touchdown.

The defense was spectacular, allowing just 10 first downs and 182 yards of offense.
They also did not allow Colorado into their red zone once the entire game.

After their first drive came to halt due to a Colorado interception on a batted ball at
the 25, Vermont would score on all but one of their remaining possessions, not counting
their final one of the game.

Thompson made it 7-0 in the first after running it in from nine capping a nearly four
minute drive. After a Curtis Douglas one-handed interception, Eli Thomas booted a
36-yard field goal to increase their lead to 10.

An excellent Colorado punt gave Vermont the ball at their own 1, but the Catamounts
would march all the way down the field before scoring on a five-yard Thompson run.

Vermont made it 24-0 early in the third with Oliver hitting a wide-open Matt Albin due
to a blown coverage for a 59-yard touchdown reception.

They made it 31-0 in the fourth on their next possession with Oliver hitting tight end
Luke Wilkerson from nine, capping an 82-yard four-minute drive.

The Catamounts tacked on a field goal later for good measure, and James Jones picked
off Paul Glover at UVM's 20 to preserve the shutout.

I'm thinking fuck NCAA 12 anyway because this is where my heart lies and I'm just gonna keep this up.

But yes, its been awhile regardless. I don't make promises that are made to be broken, but one of these days.

So the last game I played (nearly a year ago) against Colorado never saved (which contributed to me not wanting to play it again way back when), but I replayed it and am officially back! EA no longer maintains the servers for NCAA 10, so no more UVM logo , but I can still add pics and videos with my phone.

I redid the Colorado posts, so scroll up and check it out!

Vermont beats down the Buffalos for the second straight week

Amherst, NY - It was a different opponent but the same story for the Catamounts this week
as they recorded their second straight shutout in a 63-0 trouncing.

It was hard to imagine Vermont could improve on last week's victory at Colorado, but
against a weaker opponent they were even better, recording 524 yards of offense while
giving up only 123. For the second straight week, this Vermont defense didn't allow their
opponent into the redzone, giving up just eight first downs.

The defense also scored two touchdowns, contributing to the huge score.

The offense couldn't be stopped either, not punting once in the game. Matt Thompson was
again spectacular running for 243 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries leaving Oliver
(170 yards, 2 touchdowns) with little work to do.

Halfback Nick Johnson though, spelling for Thompson in the first, scored first for Vermont
with a 15-yard run on a 4th and inches play.

After a missed 53-yard field goal following a James Jones interception, Vermont got the ball
back with their second pick, this one by Keith Stone. The offense would make it 14-0 on a
16-yard Thompson scamper early in the second.

A 35-yard pass from Oliver to Luke Wilkerson and a two-yard Thompson run made it 28 to
                            nothing before halftime.

The enslaught continued in the third, with four straight possession (including two for Buffalo)
                            resulted in touchdowns.

Oliver hit Matt Albin for a 19-yard TD reception coming out of the half, Keith Stone intercepted
a poor pass into the flats and ran 37 yards for a score, Thompson ran it 50 yards on their first
play of the ensuing possession, and Cody Anderson picked up a fumble forced by a James Lee
sack and returned it 36 yards making the score 56 to nothing before the fourth quarter.

Thompson put the final score on the board early in the fourth, before the subs came in, with a
35-yard touchdown run that made it 56 to nothing.

Jones would add his second pick of the day as well on Buffalo's final possession before Vermont
ran out the three minutes left on the clock
