Superstar NFL Quarterback Leaves NFL to Pursue Fighting Career in UFC

Breaking news out of Chicago this morning. Starting Quarterback for the Chicago Bears has opted out of his contract and is going to seek a career in the UFC...as a...like...professional fighter. Jay Cutler's experience in mixed martial arts dates back to 3 weeks ago when he initially joined a local Chicago MMA gym to lose of his beer belly.

Cutler took a liking to the training and has since declared himself as wanting to fight professional. Fighting for his QB job isn't what was meant.

Jay "Chainsaw" Cutler will make his amateur fighting debut in 4 weeks against Salvrado Brotatoes who has an amateur record of 3-12.

      Q & A with Chainsaw Cutler

ESPN: So Jay....why the change to professional fighting, isn't that a pretty large career leap?
Jay: Well I thought I would get out of the league while I was on top. Michael Jordan did it to purue a baseball career, figured I would give it a shot but instead of baseball.....with fighting.

ESPN: At the Heavyweight level, do you ever anticipate to fight Brock Lesnar?
Jay: Hopefully one day, but he got cut from the Vikings' training camp and couldn't make the roster. He'll most likely be a push over like that piece of shit team he was trying to play for.

ESPN: Strong words.....strong words....what is with the nickname? Is that self-proclaimed or were you given it?
Jay: Well since I started training at ChiCitySports Gym, it just kind of stuck. During my first muay-thai training session, my partner proclaimed my abundance of chest hair needed to be hacked away with a chainsaw. The guys have been calling me that ever since.

ESPN: Thanks for taking some time to answer these questions today Jay, best of luck in the octagon.
      Jay: No problemo

It would take a chainsaw to trim that chest hair.

Up the difficulty all the way you pussy.

Also this Brotatoes guy sounds surprisingly talented even though he is 3-12.

Cutler's First Amateur Fight KO in 2nd Round

Rough start for Jay Cutler's fighting career.

Jay Cutler's 1st amateur fight went well. Despite being KO'd in the 2nd round by Brotatoes (4-12), he did display a solid amount of technique/skill.

His conditioning was poor and gave up guard too easily which allowed Brotatoes to ground and pound. When stood up, Brotatoes connected perfectly on Chainsaw's chin for the 2nd round KO.

Cutler's 2nd Fight Proves More Valient

                            Cutler celebrates his 1st win.

Cutler's 2nd amateur fight went a lot better then expected for all. He was facing Brooke Lopez fighting out of New Jersey and he won with a KO (Punch) just 2:37 into the fight. Cutler displayed good stand up game against a much more experienced opponent. He is now 1-1 on the amateur circuit.

Cutler Rematches Brooke Lopez, over fast

Cutler was all smiles after this fight.

Cutler decided to rematch with Brooke Lopez (5-2) after KO'ing him in the 1st round of their last match-up. Cutler knocked him out via ground and pound just 41 seconds into the fight. Cutler is started to see a lot of improvement and may be able to make the jump to professional fighting in the distant future.
