Peterson to sit out during Monday Night Game

Adrian Peterson's x-rays came back positive. Peterson was hit by 49ers MLB Patrick Willis early in the 1st quarter of last week's game and remained out for the entire game. AP felt a sharp pain in his hand after being hit. Peterson fumbled on the play and remained down while the trainers came out and took a look at him. Peterson broke his right thumb on that play and was unable to make a fist for the week of practice. "It was a game time decision, we knew he was hurt so we took it easy this week in practice." coach Mike Tice commented.

Peterson will only miss this weeks game against division rival Green Bay.
