"Panthers Survive Buc's 4th Quarter Comeback with Williams Running"
In Clausen's second NFL game, the pressure was not put on him. Instead, coach John Fox called upon 4th year vet DeAngelo Williams, and he shined. Racking up nearly 200 yards and three touchdowns, Williams galloped around the Buc's with ease. Even in the 4th quarter with the game on the line, Williams played as if his veins were filled with ice. Not to mention the clutch pick by CJ Wilson, the 3rd year vet from Baylor. Overall the Panthers dominated most of the game with the Buccaneers nearly putting on an amazing comeback in the 4th.

"Panthers Trade Dwayne Jarrett, Sign Demetrius Byrd."
This coming in only 2 days after the Panthers second straight win. The move was sudden and caught everyone off guard. Jarret a 4th year vet was traded to the Buffalo Bills for 5th round pick. Jarrett, catching only 34 balls in the past 3 years with 1 TD has been a disappointment to the college hype he came with. Byrd, was signed for 3 years with at a reported 2.88 million dollars with a 270 thousand dollar signing bonus. Although his pro stats are slim to none, Byrd is a player who has great potential. He will be taking the number 4 spot on the depth chart, wearing #6.

"Stewart Unhappy, Placed on Block?"
Reports around the NFL say that the Carolina Panthers have been throwing around the idea of shopping Jonathan Stewart. Stewart, who is already unhappy about the situation being contained to nearly only special teams is now even more upset with the team. Although it is unclear what will actually happen in this situation, the Panthers can afford to lose Stewart considering the outstanding play of DeAngelo Williams. If a deal is going to be done, look for it to happen after the upcoming game against the Bengals.

"Big Plays Lead Clausen's Panthers Over Bengals"
Yeah, it was said. Clausen's Panthers. The kid is playing lights out ball right now leading one of the best teams in the NFL. Not to mention he has quite possibly the NFL MVP this year behind him in the backfield. DeAngelo Williams is putting up MVP numbers week in and week out. The guy is straight burning defenses with his blazing speed. If this team keeps playing the way they are they are super bowl contenders, no doubt.

"Stewart out, Henderson in."
Its official, things between the coaching staff and RB Jonathan Stewart could not be resolved. Therefore management made a move to trade the 3rd year player to the Oakland Raiders for veteran John Henderson and a 3rd round draft pick. Coach Fox was very excited saying "John will be that run stopper in the middle we were looking for. Tank (Tyler) played well but just didnt fill the role like we had hoped. We hope Jonathan (Stewart) the best in Oakland. Hes a talented kid and will do well in his new home."

Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints
3-1-0----------2-2-0
"Brees Hands Panthers First Loss"
The failure to run effectively for the first time this season did in the Panthers, when they lost to division rival New Orleans. With an incredibly defensive game all around, the saints scored with 1:34 left to go up by 4. With Carolina driving, Clausen threw a terrible pass that was picked off by Darren Sharper. Even though they lost, Carolinas defense looked solid holding the Saints to 263 yards and only 23 points. Expect a good rebound game next week from Carolina.

"Captain Spotlight: Jon Beason"
Jon Beason is playing in his 4th season as the starting MLB for the Carolina Panthers. Drafted in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft, the 25th overall pick out of The U has been an absolute force. Sometimes overshadowed by the 9th pick that year Patrick Willis, Beason finished second in tackles and Defensive Rookie Of The Year voting in 07'. Not to mention every year since he has only improved. Finishing in his first three years with atleast 138 tackles and a total of 419, he also racked up 3 sacks and 7 INTS. Beasons play has only improved so far this season. In 4 games he has 26 tackles, and one forced fumble. He is the quarterback of the defense, and will only continue to lead a stingy defense.
