The 49ers kick off their season opener on the road at Qwest field to take on division rivals, The Seattle Seahawks. The 49ers have the edge this game on paper with a tougher and more stingier defense, A better Run game. The true question will be if Alex Smith can manage the clock and keep his mental mistakes to a minimal. We talked to Mike Singletary earlier and he said "I want to ease Alex in this position. We expect the 49ers to run alot especially since they bolstered their offensive line in the offseason and Frank Gore aswell as Glenn Coffee had a tremendous preseason as Frank Gore led the league in rushing yards and Glenn Coffee was also in the top 10. I expect this game to be a defensive struggle that will be decided on the ground and which team has the stronger will to start off at 1-0.
