thanks guys! i know the name is lame, but i kinda jus wanted to get this going. Just letting you guys know that this is going to be a different chise than my previous ones. I no longer have photoshop, so unless someone can hook a brotha up (i have a MAC) then you will not see great graphics. I will try my best to put forward good presentation though. Wish me luck!

                              September 12th, 2010 - Raiders (0-0) at Titans (0-0)

                              WEEK ONE, 2010 SEASON
Oakland Raiders (0-0) at Tennessee Titans (0-0)
                              LP Field - Nashville, Tennessee

Sloppy Game Ends In Titans Favor

Game Summary: The Titans of Tennessee started off the 2010 season on the right foot, as they beat the Oakland Raiders 36-21. The Titans defense dominated in this game, forcing 5 turnovers, and sacking Jason Campbell 9 times. But the score remained so close because of the lack of offense by Vince Young and company. The game was pretty much neck and neck until the 4th quarter when Tennessee pulled away and scored 15 unanswered points.

Offensive Analysis: The offensive unit struggled for most of the game, as they accounted for only 14 of their teams 36 points. Quarterback Vince Young had a tough day, completing a mere 14 of his 36 attempts. However he did connect with wide receiver Nate Washington early in the second quarter, on a quick slant for the Titans first offensive touchdown of the season. Running back Chris Johnson was slow out of the gates as 3/4 of his 123 yards for the day came in the second half. The receiving core did terrible, dropping 10 passes in the game.

Defensive Analysis: The defensive unit was pretty impressive against the Raiders. They stopped Oakland's drives short majority of the game, excluding the three long plays in which resulted in touchdowns. They did a phenomenal job getting to the quarterback as they recorded 9 sacks on the day, 2 of which resulted in safeties (both made by rookie defenders). The Titans defense also forced 5 turnovers (all fumbles). If they can work on not allowing the big plays, they look to be a strong unit this season.

Special Teams Analysis: Place kicker Rob Bironas showed that he is one of the top kickers in the league, as he was a perfect 6 for 6 in the game, and looked impressive no matter where the ball was spotted. Punter Brett Kern also did a fabulous job pinning the Raiders inside their own ten yard line a few times. In the first quarter after a three and out by Tennessee, Kern's punt went out of bounds at the 2. On the ensuing play, rookie left end Derrick Morgan sacked Campbell in the end zone for the safety.
