Sean Willliams looks for new start, signs with Knicks

The New York Knicks signed beleaguered big man Sean Williams to a two-year contract on Friday.

Williams, 24, has not been back in the league since a falling out with the New Jersey Nets last season.

The fourth-year forward was selected 17th overall in the 2007 draft and has averaged 4.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks.

To make space for Williams' arrival, Shelden Williams was placed on waivers.
