LeBron declines player option, Bosh, Dirk, Amare accept

This highly regarded 2010 free agency class isn't looking so great right now. The top 3 players to decline their options were LeBron James, Josh Howard, and T.J. Ford. Amare Stoudemire, Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Bosh, Michael Redd, and Tyson Chandler lead the list on some of the top players to accept player options. Players like Al Horford, Derrick Rose, Michael Beasley, Greg Oden, Mario Chalmers, O.J. Mayo, Kevin Love, and many other players from the 2007 and 2008 draft classes had there options accepted.

Heat resign Livingston,Blount, let Haslem, Moon, Taylor, and Olowokandi go

The Heat gave 3 players new contracts, one being very juicy. Shaun Livingston, signing a huge contract, got a 4 year deal with a player option for a 5th year. The deal starts off at 9.60M and ends at 14.06M in the player option season. This may be a huge risk for a player that just had a tragic, nearly career ending injury just 4 years ago. The Heat also signed center Mark Blount to league minimum contract. Mark played well in the limited minutes they were received. Udonis Haslem, Jamario Moon, and Mike Taylor were not signed by the Miami Heat. It was hard for the Heat to let Haslem go, but he was asking for too much money for the amount of playing time he would of received.

You can't think of it as the same Shaun Livingston that's been bounced around from team to team this season. LC took Shaun, has obviously spent the developing him and he has had breakout years in his time in Miami. Imagine real life takin the same route, Livingston would get a similar contract.

It's kinda hard to explain but that's really the best way I can put it.

I have about 4m to spend in the offseason, just on some role players

Livingston is a 87, and I'm sending him to another camp this offseason for either jumpshooting or stealing. Plus, video game wise, who doesn't want a 6'7 point guard that can post up anyone and now has a jumpshot?

6m a year isn't worth it for Moon that can only dunk and misses the easiest layups in the world.

I can't afford to pay 7m a year for someone that would be 3rd string PF behind Area 51

I need another center, back up SG/SF. Looking to add a center in the draft though.
