Spartans, Lucas Win A Close One
Picture: Kalin Lucas led MSU to the win tonight
After winning by only a point in Washington a day before, the Wizards looked for a convincing win over their division rivals the Charlotte Bobcats. They would do just that in front of a home crowd.
The Bobcats defense was horrible all night long, in the first half they let the Wizards drop 55 points on them. Gilbert Arenas would not even play much, with Iverson, and McGrady leading the team. Finally in the second half, Arenas would start to heat up. Washington just embarrassed the Bobcats scoring a season high of 72 in the second half, even the Wizards bench exploited the Bobcats. All in all the Wizards were able to get a big win heading into the all-star break.

Murry's 25 lead the Shockers through 2 overtimes for the win
Durley hits a fade away jumper over the defender.
Wichita, MI -- Toure' Murry proved himself to be the leader of this Wichita State team tonight with a gutsy performance. He went down early with a sprained ankle but returned to score 25 points and lead his team to victory.
The Shockers came into this game expecting an easy win, but the Knights of Fairlegh Dickerson thought otherwise. They put up one hell of a fight and almost pulled the huge upset.
The first half was close all the way through. Neither team pulled away and on a last second heave from downtown, Fairleigh went into the half up 29-28.
Coach Marshall had this to say. "We have no intensity out there. Everyone is walking back on defense and they're forcing up bad shots. We've got to turn this around or we'll be starting the season 0-1."
They did just the opposite in the second half. Fairleigh went on a 12-0 run mid-way through the second half, but on the back on Murry the Shockers clawed back into the game.
Their gritty 2-2-1 press turned things around. They forced a few quick turnovers and flustered the Knights. They'd go on a 15-2 run making it a tie game at this point, the score 50-50.
Both team would exchange buckets and after three missed attempts to score by the Knights, the game went into overtime.
In the first overtime it stayed close. With the clock winding down, the Shockers had the ball with the game tied. Murry went to the hole but his shot fell short sending the game into a second overtime. Wichita State went on a quick little run in the second overtime and pulled away for the nine point victory.
The Shockers travel to Pittsburgh to take on the 1-0 Pitt Panthers. The game will be televised by ESPN the Monday after next.
Will add more later, tired as shit right now.
Get Better AO!!!

Hoyas Close Out Regular Season With Win Over Bearcats
Jason Clark spots up for a three
NEW YORK---The regular season is over and the Hoyas will head into the Big East Tournament on a 10 game winning streak after defeating the Cincinnati Bearcats 78-71.
This win didn't come easy at all though. Bearcats super freshman Lance Stephen dropped a career high 35 points on the Hoyas- he was a one man wrecking crew. But in the game of basketball, one man can't do all the work if he wants to get a win.
"That kid Stephenson gave us a hard time. He is very strong when he drives to the bucket. He can shoot the three, draw fouls, he is the real deal," said coach John Thompson III after the game.
The game started off at a face pace as Stephenson and Hoyas center Greg Monroe traded bucket for bucket. This pace would continue well into the second half as both teams fed the ball to their star players and let them go to work.
With three minutes left in the game, a rare three pointer by Monroe would ignite a 9-0 Hoyas scoring run, which would help the Hoyas build a 10 point lead. Georgetown would go on to win by just seven points.
New Orleans Hornets Stats
Greg Monroe: 33 pts, 5 rebs
Jason Clark: 14 pts, 4 rebs
Chris Wright: 11 pts, 4 rebs, 5 asts

(#9 seed)San Antonio Spurs Stats

Cashmere Wright: 10 pts, 6 asts
