I like that trade as well.

If any of those contracts you're sending to NJ extend past this season, the deal sucks for NJ.
Where do any of those guys fit into the Nets rotation once they arrive there?
The thing with large 10M+ expiring contracts, like Simmons' for example, is that they are highly sought out by teams looking to shed salary.
i.e. Gasol when he was traded to LA for Kwame's large contract, etc etc.
Point is, with a 10m expiring, the Nets could get a superstar really and you're trade them a bunch of role players.
If they are all expiring then I guess it makes some sort of sense.
Sean has attitude and work ethic issues, yeah, but he isn't exactly a locker room cancer or anythingComment

I see what your saying and may have to look around, maybe i will give D.J. White some time and see if he can become my low post pressence with Etan Thomas.
Thanks for the input Mike.Comment

Thunder Receive:
F/C Nathan Jawai (DAL)
Mavericks Receive:
2010 2nd Rd Pick
F/C Micheal Ruffin (OKC)
Spund fair he is not Sean Williams but he is a massive man of a mountain and should be good for a few rebounds and some blocks.
I will look for a free agent for some bench helpLast edited by bailey4mvp; 10-13-2009, 06:03 AM.Comment

So I couldn't get the three way trade to work with http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMa...radeId=yh4m7f6, the Raps would be taking on too many players. So I came up with this three team trade.
Cleveland Gets:
PF Chris Bosh
Oklahoma City Gets:
C Patrick O' Bryant
C Zydrunas Ilgauskas
PF Darnell Jackson
SF Jawad Williams
Raptors Get:
C Etan Thomas
SF Jeff Green
Everything is valid. Here is why it would work.
The Raptors have done some serious trading in my association and have a log jam at PF, with 6 currently on the roster. C. Bosh, A. Johnson, S. Williams, R. Evans, C. Villanueva, A. Bargnani. And only Rasho Nesterovic as their center. They would get Etan Thomas, an upgrade. And Jeff Green to back up Hedo Turkyglue. Who currently doesn't have a back-up.
The Thunder would be given Zydrunas Ilgauskas a serious upgrade over Robin Lopez/B.J. Mullens. While Z isn't helping them in the age category he'll be giving them solid experience in the back court. Patrick O'Brian will join him from the Raptors. O'Brian simply a scrub and a move for the Raptors to make the cap room.
Jawad Williams will be there to back up Kevin Durant, who currently is the only SF on the roster. Darnell Jackson goes to Oklahoma City as well, simply to free up Cap for the Cavs to take on Chris Bosh's contract.
Cavaliers get Bosh early, as opposed to attempting to pick him up in FA.
Record wise this makes sense.
Cavaliers (11-6) would get the PF they missed out on and put the final piece to their Championship run in place.
Oklahoma City (10-7) Are currently fifth in the West. The Additions they would take on would improve their chances of remaining in the playoffs, or getting a better seed.
The Raptros (5-15) are second to last in the East. Chris Bosh isn't happy with the organization's position and has voiced his disapproval in the past. More then likely he will be looking to get out of Toronto at the end of the season anyways.25-02, 23:16 Yawkey Way celtics fucking suckComment

I like it. Not sure how eager the Thunder would be to move Jeff Green though. He's part of their young, developing core. That's really the only part that sticks me as "nah, they wouldn't do that."
Perhaps would make more sense to take place closer to the trade deadline though considering the caliber of players being moved around?
Either way, that's a seriousssssssss title contender right there.Comment

1984 Record: 44-38 (9th in west)
1985 Record: 42-40 (7th in west; 1st round exit)
1986 Record: 51-31 (3rd in west; swept in finals)

Hm, I dunno. They really like him and this should be hte year he puts it all together.
What's he being paid this year? What other players on the OKC roster are being paid around the same?
I would also think the Raptors are deserving of a 1st considering Bosh being a franchise player (+ being expiring)Comment

The first trade was way better, because everyone got what they needed. The Thunder give up a future star for an expiring and a couple of oldies/

Damn, if you choose to go the Thabo route, definitely throw a 1st in there. lol.
Green is still on his rookie contract. Hard to let go of a guy like that just for some cap relief in the offseason.
OKC isn't exactly a market big FA's are looking to sign to.Comment
