      Palmer's Errors Cost Angels Game
Matt Palmer started the bottom of the first with a strike, which is alway relief for a pitcher. However, on his next pitch he hit Ryan Kalish, and he wasn't the same since then. An error in the inning prolonged the four-run Red Sox strike. Boston wouldn't touch him in the third, but he was pulled after three innings. Kevin Jepsen came in and allowed his team to get some run support, but it wouldn't be enough because Boston scored a run each in the fourth and fifth innings where they were outscored 4-2 by the Angels. In the sixth inning, Jepsen got wild and allowed two base runners. Jordan Walden would come into pitch and get two outs, then David Ortiz stepped into the box and hit a three-run homer into the Monster seats. Boston would only allow one more run winning 11-5 and capitalizing on the Angels' mistakes.

David Ortiz launches the lone home run of the game from his launching pad.

          Late Inning Heroics
The Angels and Boston had a great pitcher's duel last night. Takahashi only allowed one run in the fifth inning, coming on a two out single by Kevin Youkilis. Daisuke would give up three runs in the seventh, all with two outs; giving the Angels a 3-1 lead. You may not expect more offense from either team, however in the bottom of the seventh with two outs Crawford hits Pesky's Pole to tie the game up at three. Daisuke pitched a scoreless eighth inning, and Weaver started to struggle, however Boston stranded runners at first and third. There would not be very many hits in the extra innings, however in the bottom of the thirteenth, there was one that mattered: J.D. Drew doubled to right field, a ball that Rich Chavez couldn't handle cleanly allowing Jed Lowrie to score from first base in walk-off fashion.

J.D. Drew fist pumps with a walk-off winner going to second base.

I've had quite a few close ones, just been hitting the ball well lately, but I adjusted the sliders after the 13-4 win againist the M's in our last game in April.

                    Boston Completes Sweep of Angels
Boston contiues as the hottest team in baseball, they can't be stopped. Adrian Gonzalez continues his hot start by hitting his eighteenth homerun in the fifth inning. That homerun was the last scoring play in the game, and made the game 10-2. Andrew Miller pitched well today, but he was limited with his pitch count because he wasn't fully rested after his last start. Miller is on fire as he has won his third consecutive game, and will not be sent down. "We limited his pitch count today because he was a little bit fatigued. We expect the same in his next start, though we will continue to start Andrew in Beckett's spot until Josh can come back." Manager Terry Francona commented. Boston will continue their homestand with four more home games in a series against the Minnesota Twins.

Adrian Gonzalez has brought his power with him to Boston.

                          Role Reversal?
Boston's lineup went ice cold tonight against Carl Pavano. Pavano is off to a great start notching his fifth win of the year, and lowering his earned run average to 1.79. Boston could only scrap five hits off of him and two of them were delivered by J.D. Drew. Boston had a chance to keep the score 4-0, however a ground ball to Lowrie was thrown away prolonging the inning. Boston will say goodbye to their fifteen game winning streak and look to start a fresh one tomorrow against Brian Duensing and the Twins. Boston's five game winner Clay Buchholz will take the mound tomorrow afternoon against Minnesota.

Pavano pitched a gem in tonight's game against the Sox.
