Yao, McGrady Optimistic About Health in 2009

Last year, the Houston Rockets had one of the longest winning streaks in NBA history. Most impressively, they Rockets did this with arguable their best player. 7'6" Yao Ming was hurt early in the win streak and would miss the rest of the season, about a third of it overall, including the post season with a stress fracture in his left foot. The Rockets streak would finally end at 22 with a loss to the Celtics. Houston now had a ton of momentum going into the playoffs but the cancer hit again. McGrady once again put up good numbers but the Rockets failed to make it out of the first yet again.
This year, McGrady and Yao are 100% healthy and looking forward to playing a full season together for the first time since McGrady was acquired from the Orlando Magic. With the addition of Ron Artest and a couple developing players in Luis Scola and Aaron Brooks, expect the Rockets to be scary this season.

First NBA chise I've ever done so I hope it turns out good. I think I can get 5-10 games in before Yao and TMac are out for half the season...

Yao Ming soars for one of his game high 20 rebounds in the MVP effort. Yao would also set a team record with 8 blocks on the night.
