Ernie Johnson - And the Sonics win 97-81, their 4th win in a row. Now at 19-13 after going through a December funk, what's been the difference?
Barkley - They're just Better.

Barkley - What I mean is, tonight for example; they are Just better than the Suns. Phoenix could hang around for a lil bit, but when you have Richard Jefferson and Grant Hill tryin to guard Kevin Durant...And I love those guys but Kevin Durant is Faster,taller,more athletic, and....he's just much better than they are. And The Sonics, Look the Sonics have A lot of Talent and I think they've underachieved a lil this year, they won their forth in a row but outside of Philadelphia, theyre just squashing scrubs.

Barkley - Kevin Love and Brandon Jennings are studs, but that Timberwolves team isnt going anywhere!
Kenny - Absolutely, Boston is a scrub team as well
Shaq - Kevin Garnett n them boys never did a thing in this league..
Barkley - heh, Listen...the Celtics arent a scrub team, but they havent been Great this year, they;ve been decent if you wanna look at it realisticly. And Let's face it theyre an older club, Seattle doesnt have a 12th man over 30. Those boys can run a team...In the NBA its all about matchups, and Seattle's athletes can run an old ball club like the Celtics off the court with ease. Phoenix still has Steve Nash running the same offense from 4 years ago..but he's not running with young Amare, Shawn Marion, n Joe Johnson...he's trying to make Richard Jefferson, Hakim Warwick, and Gortat look as good as he can. That Team isnt scaring any one. And when it comes to the Playoffs, One of the big problems I've had with Seattle is they just a jump shooting team...
In the playoffs, games are always gonna slow down. And I just worry about them, those jumpers dont fall....Houston, San Antonio, the Blazers and the Lakers are not gonna let this team do whatever they want like Pheonix did tonight.
Kenny - The thing that scares Chuck is the point guard play. Russell Westbrook was avg. 21 shots a game until a week ago. He got into a bad slump, Seattle lost a few and Portland just made them look bad. Since then he's avg. 12 shots a game and 13 APG and theyre rolling. Everyone is scared now that he's due to return to his old ways and it's just...
Barkley - Look that's ridiculous Kenny, Westbrook is a stud and is capable of making plays. Look I like the Sonics, I wish that city..Seattle...all the best especially coming out of that relocation non-sense, but man their flaws...They're gonna win games becuz they got those 3 guys that are studs..and Tyson Chandler who will clean up all of their messes on both ends. But those jump shots..when the playoffs start, it's gonna come back to bite them.

Ernie - Coming off Tonight's 119-112 win over the Dallas Mavericks, The Sonics have now won 8 straight to improve to 23-13 on the year.
Charles - and they Beat a Very good defensive team with the Dallas Mavericks.
Kenny - heh...chuck, very good? Durant started the game for 11 for 11.
Charles - And Durant is a Damn Good Scorer. He scored 60 tonight and he made The Mavs look bad...but Great players can make good defenses look bad. Lemme tell you summthin Kenny, Back in Pheonix, Seattle played some tough Defense on me in the western conference finals; but I still hung 44 on them. And these Sonics Have Russell Westbrook playin well,
Kenny - Westbrook, man he is so explosive..
Charles - he did, they all played fantastic tonight.
Kenny - Russell Westbrook is averaging 14 assists during this run, the best of his career. He's passing the ball extremely well. He's figured out that he doesnt have to get 25 points to dominate a game. Tonight he scored 14 and dished out 17 assists, and he and Durant just Dominated the game. He's so quick and talented that he can make the game easier for his teammates, especially Durant and well..you saw tonight 60 points.
Ernie - Westbrook took 13 shots for 14 points to go along with his 17 assists.
Charles - Ernie, one of the keys to being a great player, is they always get their shots. They key for him is "How can I get Tyson Chandler 12 points? How can I get Sefolosha 10 points?" That;s when you know you're a great player, when you can make the role players better.
Ernie - So Durant needs to score 60 every night?
Charles - No, cuz he doesnt have to, Kevin Durant can score at will, and tonight he got going and had an all-time night, but through out this run, everyone has been getting involved.
Kenny - Westbrook controls the tempo of the game, he can get guys easy shots, And YOU can See what happens when you give Kevin Durant Easy Buckets. [Panel Laughs]
But Westbrook can get the ball to other guys, Tyson Chandler is just catching stray lobs, He can do that. But Westbrook is so quick off of the dribble that he can score on anyone, and now he's pullin back a lil and using his quickness to set up other guys.
Ernie - Shaq, weigh in on this..
Shaq - You while the Sonics were underachieving, those two accounted for about 66% of the teams scoring and the Big guys account for 12%. Now you gotta figure if you wanna trade their defense for more scoring, should they score more? I think theyre doing well. What? The question remains, will they play this well in the Post-season. I said it..Chuck said it...They shoot too much.

Shaq - I also wanna say, I know it doesnt always come thru on TV, But Man...Key Arena Is Loud.
Charles - It Really is, You Remember playin there, they almost had me thinkin my name was Charles Barkley Sucks [Panel Laughs]
