East V West , LBJ V CP3 , Who you got??
And then there was two
It seems like after 65 games there is only 2 serious MVP Candidates in the NBA this season .... LeBron James or Chris Paul . Both guys are the key to their teams success , both guys are serial scorers. Whos better? Lets take a look
Chris "CP3" Paul
Paul has been nothing short of amazing this season , he is the perfect exmaple of consistency says his team-mate David West . The Hornets are 36-21 right now , 3rd in the West . Thats alot higher than most had them at this point in the season . Paul averages 26 PPG and 15 APG .... but when MVPs are decided pure stats arent enough , the leadership and importance to a team comes into question . On a banged up Hornets team Paul held them together , when the Hornets went on a 7match losing streak Paul answered back taking the team on an 11 match win streak shortly after.
We decided to sit down with some of Paul`s team-mates to see what they thought of the all star PG.
Tyson Chandler - "I made my first All-Star game this season , and i honestly and truly think that without him i wouldnt have gotten near Pheonix"
Peja Stojakovic - "Hes Mr.Everything , when we need something ... he is there . What else needs to be said?"
My Prediction as of right now - 2nd Place
LeBron James
Amazing and Unstoppble are just two of the words used to describe LeBron James since he entered the league , but this season LBJ took the meaning of "unstoppble" to a whole new meaning. Averaging 27 PPG and 9 APG LBJ has led the Cavs to the 2nd seed in the East . James has won 13 of the Eastern Confrence`s POTW awards this season , thats 9 more than his MVP opponent. LeBron also received the most votes of any player from either team in all star voting this year .
We decided to see what two of his Cavs Team-mates had to say about number 23
Mo Williams - "Its a pleasure to even be on the same court as this guy , hes easily the best player in the NBA right now"
Sasha Pavlovic - "Hes our leader , but hes way more than that . I have seen teams throw every kind of double team possible at this guy but it doesnt matter , every night hes getting his 30points"
My Prediction as of right now - 1st PlaceLast edited by Archer; 05-13-2009, 12:46 AM.Comment
