NBA: The Sting Of The Deep South | A New Orleans Hornets Chise
In last nights interview with New Orleans coach Dan Archer there was a lot of strong words being thrown around by the rookie coach . Coach Archer was upset that his starting PG Chris Paul was in his words "screwed" out of the MVP award by the NBA.
This is the exact interview that he gave .....
"Its a disgrace , anybody who followed these two teams know who the better player was . Paul out performed LeBron in most categories and led his team to a better record but yet got 4 less first place votes by the league ... well Bullshit i call . The NBA bigcats clearly wanted a big team player to win it , its happened before and will probably again. I know i will probably get fined for these comments but i dont care , when i see a player being wronged espically one of my own then i will speak out . Its just my nature , Chris deserved more than this but didnt win it simply because the golden spoon was once again handed to LeBron Or Kobe. Its dissapointing to think that in 2009 things like this happen in sports , but we have to live with it ... everybody in New Orleans ... HELL everybody outside of Cleveland knows who the real MVP was this season but theres nothing we can do now . We will head into the playoffs with our heads held high hoping to bring the "ship" back to New Orleans"
New Orleans ended as the 3rd seed in the Western Confrence playoff race and will face the Pheonix Suns in what is sure to be a tough matchup.
