Adam Eaton On The Way Out?

Eaton Has Not Played Well At All This Season

Adam Eaton may be packing his bags and leaving Baltimore sooner then he expected. Eaton has started off the season with a 1-4 record with a 4.76 ERA and has not pitched a good game all season. The Baltimore organization is not sure what to do with him, he could be sent down to AAA and stay down until he proves himself to be better or they could just let him go all together. Dave Trembley made an announcement before the team's flight to Kansas City and said Adam Eaton would get his last chance when he starts game 1 against the Royals. "If he doesn't perform then we will decide what to do but he will not stay in our starting rotation." The only problem Baltimore has is when they do get rid of Eaton then who takes his spot? No one on their AAA team is standing out, except for maybe 2 guys. Those 2 guys are Bradley Bergesen and Chris Waters. Bergesen is the Tides long reliever and he has a 1-1 record with a 4.15 ERA. Waters on the other hand has a 1-3 record and has an ERA of 3.28. "Both players have potential to be good but we're not sure if they're ready yet." Adam Eaton only had one comment on the situation and that was, "I started off the year bad I know this, but is it seriously necessary to get rid of me? Look at the teams we played so far this year, Boston, New York, Tampa Bay, Texas. Hell, the worst team we played were the Angels. If the Orioles want to get rid of me then fine but I'll say this, when another team signs me i pray that i get to face Baltimore and I pitch a helluva game against them, then we'll see who made out better."

thnx, it was a tight game and i thought i could rely on Jim Johnson, WRONG but luckily the rest of my bullpen recovered and got the win. i was scared to send Wigginton cuz he's so slow but i figured i had to take the chance. next game will be one to watch for, Guthrie vs. Greinke

Trembley Has Made Up His Mind...

Adam Eaton was given one last start as an Oriole to show his coaches he could do it. That start did not impress his coaches or the manager Dave Trembley. "I've made up my mind on what I want to do. Since Chris Waters pitched an excellent 3 hit shutout in his tryout he will be awarded with Adam Eaton's starting job. Adam Eaton on the other hand will be placed on the trading block and will sit in the Baltimore bullpen until a team shows interest. As for Mr. Bergesun, trust me I didn't forget about Bradley, he will take Chris Waters' starting job down in Norfolk. Hopefully all these moves will work for the better." Chris Waters is scheduled to make his first start against the Yankees next week. We reached Waters for comments and this is what he had to say, "How does it feel to finally get what you worked for?" "It feels great to know that all my hard work has paid off, and hopefully I can help in turning this Baltimore team around and reaching the playoffs. I also want to say congratulations to Bradley Bergesen in obtaining a starting rotation spot in our AAA affiliate and wish the best of luck to him." "Okay Chris thanks." "No problem." Adam Eaton is said to be not happy at all and is glad he is on the trading block.
