      Mora Just Getting Old?

Baltimore, MD -- So far this season, Melvin Mora has been on a slump. He is only batting .140 in the 5 spot of the Oriole’s batting line-up. When confronted about the problem he had a few words to say. “Yeah, I’m getting old; I think one or two more seasons may do it for me. I just can’t perform like I used to, I’m 37 years old playing a 25 year old game. I only have one more year left on my contract so I guess it’s up to the O’s to decide my future, if they want to resign me then so be it but if not, I may test free agency for a month or two and if I don’t get a contract I’m probably going to retire.” When O’s manager, Dave Trembley was asked to comment he simply walked right by reporters saying “Get out of my face.” So I guess the question is will Melvin save his career and get some hits or will he let it all go and retire.

                  MLB Worthy?

Baltimore, MD -- Rich Hill who plays for the Baltimore Orioles AAA affiliate the Norfolk Tides has been pitching pretty well so far this season. Hill is 2-1 with an ERA of 3.18 and has 15 K’s in only 4 games this season. He may be pitching well but the O’s pitchers have not, Alfredo Simon and Adam Eaton have combined stats of 1-4, an ERA of 9.00, 38 hits, 6 HR and only 17 K’s. The Orioles manager Dave Trembley had a few words with reporters about the situation. “We have been watching Rich pretty closely lately and let me tell you he impresses us especially after him throwing that complete game shutout. So the way we’re thinking this out is Alfredo Simon will be sent down to AAA and we’ll bring up Rich Hill and put him in the 3rd spot. This should bring a well balanced pitcher into the rotation and lessen the load on Jeremy Guthrie, who is also pitching very well.” When Rich Hill was asked to comment on the situation he said, “I’m pitching pretty well so far this season and I hope I can carry that over into the major leagues. The Orioles are giving me a great opportunity this early in the season so hopefully I can live up to it.”

yea he should be pretty good, i pitched 3 games with him so far including the complete game shutout. the only thing im worried about is him being left handed, most of the hitters i face are right handed but hopefully it wont phase him.

i was so pissed off when they robbed me of them home runs cuz the one on the left would have been Mora's first homer of the season and the one on the right was pretty much s graphics glitch cuz his arm went through the wall
