rofl, he's not that bad but probably won't be back next season.

seems like everyone got an RBI. that 8th inning was hilarious. They pulled Burnett and then it was just single, single, single, single, bringing guys home. Batted around the lineup.

I Hear The Ball Carries Well In New Yankee Stadium; Tigers Blast 7 Home Runs And Sweep

                  (55-35) vs (46-47)

Placido Polanco got it started early with this 2 run shot that was part of a 5 run 1st inning rally.

The Tigers strong offensive display helped them cruise to a 12-5 victory today over the Yankees, in front of 50,298 disappointed (to say the least) fans at Yankee Stadium. Placido Polanco had a huge game, going 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI leading the Tigers charge that scored 8 runs off of All-Star Andy Pettitte. Jeremy Bonderman gave up 4 runs and 8 hits over 6 innings of work, and that was good enough for him to record his 8th win of the season, and 3rd in a row.

The Tigers begin a series at home tomorrow night against the Mariners, with Justin Verlander (7-6, 2.60 ERA) drawing the start against Ryan Rowland-Smith (2-6, 5.12 ERA). Curtis Granderson keeps it goin and hopes to add to his now 16-game hitting streak.

There was a 20 MPH wind blowing into the outfield. They kept hanging curveballs/sliders.

It's funny too. Because the very first pitch of the game, Pettitte threw a fastball at Granderson's head. Granderon had to duck out of the way. It's almost like we made his ass pay for trying to end Granderson's career.

Polanco no homers all year, and then 2 in one game. Crazy.

Every single home run I hit was to right field. Which is where the wind was blowing.
