Forgot to screenshot the end of series screen.

Either way, we owned the Twins. 0 runs in both games, 1 hit in this last one. Edwin Jackson.

I was so bad with him the 1st time around. Now he kicks ass. rofl.

I didn't even realize I had held them to only 1 hit until the 9th when the commentator mentioned, "We could be looking at a no hitter right now if it wasn't for this guys hit early on", referring to Delmon Yong. Got a whole lot of pop ups and foul outs. Great feeling after getting reamed by the Indians.

            What Yawk said.

You'd like it Lupe if you gave it a chance. The lower the ERA the better. It means you give up less runs to the opposing team. For example, if a pitchers ERA (earned run average) is 3, it means for every 9 innings he pitches, he allows 3 runs on average to the other team. it's a measure of how good a pitcher keeps the other team from scoring, blah blah blah.

Anyways, nice chise and good luck in that tough ALC

                  EDIT: Oh btw, Edwin=beast
lol, makes sense. he's a beast. Thanks. The ALC standings are tight as you'll see in the series preview that will included division standings.

As far as Edwin goes, yeah, I like him as well. But he was really hard to figure out the 1st time I did a Tigers chise. Luckily he's got it going now. Him performing well will keep me from missing Galarraga too much. :pepsi:

Bonderman Bends But Doesn't Break As Tigers Win 3rd Straight

                          (16-11) @ (15-12)

Gerald Laird and Gavin Floyd watch one soar over the wall in the top of the 7th inning.

Playing at night in southside Chicago, the Tigers secured a 3-0 win against the White Sox in front of 29,170 dans in Chicago. Jeremy Bonderman led the way on the mound for the Tigers, throwing 7 and two thirds scoreless innings on the way to his 2nd win of the season. Gavin Floyd matched Bonderman stride for stride until the top of the 7th, when Gerald Laird blasted a 3 run shot to straight left to put the Tigers out in front. Laird's home run ended up being his only hit of the game as well.

The 2 game series concludes tommorow night, with Rick Porcello (2-1 , 3.53 ERA) getting the nod for the Tigers, while the White Sox will send Jose Contreras (3-2 , 3.34 ERA) to the hill.

I haven't really played with any other teams besides the Marlins and Tigers to say he's one of the most underrated players in the game, but he is defintely rated pretty low for how good he is in the game.

He has the speed to steal bases, can hit for a decent average and power and throws opposing base stealers at an alarming rate. Laird is ftw

And as far as the bullpen goes, Rodney is kicking ass in the closing role and this Ryan Perry kid is coming along.

He's definitely doing a lot better than that shitty fucker Aquilino Lopez did earlier in the season.
