Tigers Pick Up 3rd Straight Win In Series Opener Against A's

            (21-14) vs (16-18)

Where did this power come from? Curtis Granderson going yard is becoming a familiar sight at Comerica.

The score of tonight's game was 7-3, as the Tigers took care of the Athletics to send the 25,182 fans at Comerica Park away with a smile - at least until they got to the jammed parking lot. Curtis Granderson homered yet again, and drove in 3 runs to lead the way for the Tigers.

The series continues tomorrow night with Edwin Jackson (2-1 , 2.70 ERA) going for the Tigers and Dana Eveland (1-2 , 5.40 ERA) slated to work for the Athletics.

Inge's RBI Triple Walks Off The Tigers In 11th

                        (22-15) vs (17-19)

The Tigers "walk off" the field after a game winning RBI off the bat of Brandon Inge in extras.

The Tigers needed 11 innings to beat the Athletics by a 4-3 final, in front of a crowd of 27,226 fans at Comerica Park. Jeremy Bonderman received a no decision despite giving up only 3 runs over 8 innings. With the game on the line in extras, veteran Bobby Seay came through for his club and pitched a flawless 3 innings to earn his 2nd win of the season after a Brandon Inge RBI triple would win the game in the bottom half of the 11th. Miguel Cabrera drove in 2 runs on 4 hits, helping the Tigers pick up the win.

The Tigers begin another series at home tomorrow night against the Rangers , with Rick Porcello (3-2 , 3.40 ERA) drawing the start against Matt Harrison (4-2 , 2.80 ERA). Curtis Granderson hopes to add to his 10-game hitting streak.

Yeah, I haven't hit a home run in a while it seems like with Miggy. Still leading the AL though with 13. Granderson is 2nd in the AL with 12. :stupid:

Also leading AL BA with Miggy. He's hitting .390 for the year.
