Magglio Ordonez led the Tigers offense, hitting his 8th and 9th home run of the season in the win.

The Tigers squeaked out a 4-3 win over the Rockies tonight, in front of a crowd of 22,333 at Comerica Park. Magglio Ordonez demolished the Rockies, mashing 2 home runs and driving in 3 while getting 3 hits in 4 at bats. The winning pitcher was Edwin Jackson, who claimed his 3rd win of the season by allowing 3 runs on 7 hits over 8 innings of work.

The Tigers were unable to prove American League dominance today, losing an interleague battle with the Rockies by a final score of 9-4.
