Lack Of Run Production A Cause For Concern? Tigers 2 Runs Not Enough This Time

            (27-18) @ (21-24)

Miguel Cabrera got this drive down the right field line to stay fair for his 7th dinger of the month, 15th of the season.

It was a close game, but the Tigers were clipped on the road tonight, losing 4-2 to the Royals in an AL Central Contest. Miguel Cabrera smacked a solo home run and a double and came in for both of the Tigers runs to "carry" the offense. Justin Verlander wasn't particularly effective in a losing effort, pitching 5 innings and yielding 3 runs on 7 hits.

In the series finale tomorrow night at Kauffman Stadium, the Tigers will send Edwin Jackson (3-1 , 3.18 ERA) to the mound while Gil Meche (4-3 , 2.55 ERA) gets the call for the Royals.

            Tigers Pitching:

Royals Win In Walkoff Fashion After Inge Error In Extras

                (26-19) @ (22-23)

Ryan Perry shows his frustration after being saddled with the loss after an unearned run.

I had a whole update typed out. IE crashed. Not in the mood to type it all back out. It was the bottom of the 10th inning and Coco Crisp bunted down the 3rd base line. Brandon Inge tried to bare hand it and ended up overshooting Cabrera at 1st. Crisp makes it all the way to 3rd. Then Alberto Callaspo hits one into shallow right and they walk off with the win. :headbang:

Read the short recap. He didn't do shit wrong. He pitched 2 innings with 1 hit and 0 earned runs. :/

                    D12, tell me something I don't know.

                      Series Review:

Needless to say, it looks like we left our bats in the hotel room. Pitching staff did it's job. We just didn't bring in enough runs to put us in a position to get wins.

He's good but he's cold right now. I just think he was tired or something and considering the game headed into extras he just got lazy and messed up.

He makes amazing defensive plays for me pretty often. But like I said, his bat is lacking right now. Well, he obviously isn't the only one.
