Really hasn't been that great of a year so far, I'd put Regina Spektor's Far and Hold Time from M. Ward right behind this. Hold Time might overcome this at some point, I've been too into M. Ward's old stuff to listen to it that much.

I went looking for a pic of this, only to find BH already has it. I haven't been really wowed by anything yet this year, but I find myself listening to a lot of Matt and Kim

Fact is, even in a year that Blyth Power, Lullabye Arkestra, William Elliott Whitmore and El May are releasing albums, you will have to work unbelievably hard to top this LP....



..and if you don't agree then the fact remains that the woman I love lies asleep upstairs, I can go to my room now and I'll find her there, and I'll make you a bed on a pallet of straw, and you can squabble and bicker in the servant's hall, as you wash my linen and scrub my floors...and take your punishment daily...
